asian gourmet on the pier

absolutely lovely...asianfood is my thing and these guys definitely do it well and are priced quite well considering their location! a word of advice though, make a reservation or you'll miss out!

my partner and i went toasiangourmet on the pier to celebrate our weeding anniversary. it was a perfect place for a fancy dinner. lovely atmosphere and wonderful staff. food was absolutely great!! a+++

just had delivery fromasiangourmet on the pier, nothing to complain about at all. authentic southern chinese dishes with good flavour. can't wait to sit down.

lots of things to order on their menu. my friend tried over 50 chinese restaurants in australia, he thoughtasiangourmet on the pier is great. food, price and staff. except longer waiting time on weekends, nothing to complain about.

this is our first time try theasiangourmet on the pier. the restaurant provided snacks to customers. we ordered wine and seafood. they are all from tasmania and they are really delicious. i will come back.

we spent our new year's eve here. the pier is lively and foods atasiangourmet are delicious. even on new year eve, the staff here are very friendly to serve guests. highly recommended!

this is one of the best chinese restaurants in tasmania. good flavours, great ambience and great table service. the owner and staff provided above average service with attention to detail. theasiangourmet on the pier should be on any visitors who love chinese food.

the food inasiangourmet was really high quality, and cooked fresh especially fish - we were impressed with this. it is a bit of a battle to remember all the dish names from the menu, but they were soooo good!

there’s less deliciousasianfood discovered in hobart exceptasiangourmet. steam prawn dumplings, steam chicken feet and veg spring roll etc all consisted my favorites. therefore i will a hundred percent be back next time.

i like yum cha here, so surprisingly they have such nice yum cha here from monday to sunday lunch time, me and my fiends have been here for couple times...before i came here, all my friends told to me that there no delicious chinese or evenasianfood here,, but they got yummy yum cha here, even the price is a little expensive. my friends are all enjoy with meals and table services is average or a little higher, lol.

i wouldn't rate it 1 if there is a choice of 0. this might be the worst restaurant (if it can be called a restaurant) in australia. the steamed oysters were dry and tasteless, the steamed fish were put on steam when still frozen, you can imagin the end result. even a simple fried rice was so badly made, the shrimps seemed thoseasianimports which have no texture nor taste, small beef cubes tasted disgusting. we spent more than $80 only to drink a beer and a cup of tea. when asked they about the way they cooked the streamed fish (10 thin pieces of the size of 3 cm square @ $35 or so), they replied that you should order more expensive one which would cost $80-$90. my suggestion: select any place to eat blindly, but this place.

seriously the worst restarant in hobart!!..i am visiting from melbourne for a 6 day food adventure and ive got to say, i have been to dozens of other hobart restaurants , this was the worst of the bunch..my family and i decided to try someasiancuisine, after eating italian,seafood and greek the nights before.we ordered cantonese chicken which was very very very plain, the chicken was cooked with just onions and little red capsivum, it was tasteless and the chicken tasted almost fake , that cost $27 for a very tiny plate.we then ordered a moreton bay bug dish, $38.50 the bugs tasted like they were defrosted.our next dish was supposedly a wagyu ribeye which was diced into a sizzling plate, this was awful, it tasted like boiled meat placed on a sizzlinh plate for $40, there was raw fat all over the meat and it just tasted fake again.
do yourself a favour and go somewhere else..this restaurant was empty, we should have known it was bad.not only was $140 we spent for 4 small plates bad enough..the waiter kept coming to our table trying to sell us more drinks and dessert, even after we said no , he kept asking...these people are obviously money hungry and cluldnt care about the food..we were provided with 4 small glasses of water when we arrived and the waitet kept refilling every 2 mins , it was so annoying...
try drunken admiral or a local italian , please dont make the mistake we made...
