arista hotel located in sunny enclave is the place for any1 living near kharar but wait y only kharar people , even in mohali such a hotel to give competition to arista isn't there . it has all the amenities of a 3-4 star property . this wasn't my 1st visit to the hotel , had attended about 2-3 functions in the banquet hall of the place and enjoyed dinner at their top floor lounge 'jashan' . this time we decided to give their buffet option a try . the buffet is layed at chiili and pepper located at the ground floor of the property .
we reached by 7:30 p.m and that day afoodfestival was going on "pind di galliyan " . thus the place was decorated according to the theme , the menu was also constructed well with the decor and theme .
starters –
paneer angara tikka , veg dimsum , mushroom tikka , chicken momos , punjabi murg tikka , bhati ka kukad .
in the veg section paneer tikka and mushroom tikka were outstanding , we also asked for some dahi ke kabab as that’s 1 of the best dahi ke kabab i ever had and they served us with a smile .
non-veg starter – punjabi murg tikka and bhati ka kukad was really yummy , fresh chicken tender , marinated done right and finished in the tandoor . chicken momos were surprisingly good , now moms are something that’s really found at very nukkad . so it had to be their .
arista shooters- to accompany the starters was masala chach and thandai . as the degree is rising outside these two are a blessing . if i had to pick 1 thandai ne thandh pati
live counter –
on 1 side they had set u all the live counters serving , pav bhaji , tikki chat , papadi chat , chinese chat , puchkas (golgappa ).
so here our take was the pav bhaji , papadi chat and golgappa served with 3 different flavored water .
soups – tomato dhaniya ka shorba
creamy murg shorba .
salad – three chilly potato salad , curd cucumber salad , russian salad , tomato slice , onion rings , sliced carrot , sliced cucumber , radish stick , assorted lettuce , pineapple raita , pickle papad .
nice range na , but my pick was the russian salad everyon’s fav and onion rings that goes with every indian meal .
main buffet –
pasta in creamy sauce – really good but not authentic .
thai veg curry – thai green curry 1 of my fav , loved it .
sunahari julfe (singapuri noodle) – every kids fav
khata meetha paneer – really enjoyed it with missi roti .
motiya palak – palak with sweet corn
chole kulche
subz-e-bahar
muhroom mater hara pyaz
dal dhaba style – perfectly cooked had that homely fav to it
rogan-e-gulmurg
mutton biryani
jeera dhaniya paulo
punjabi kadhi pakora
assorted indian breads
desserts – kulfi falooda
beet root halwa
after being stuffed with the mains , sadly had very little space for the deeset . the mango flavoured kulfi was a hit and even the beetroot halwa was a sensation
over and all it was a really good value for money package , service was really good , prompt , the servers were well briefed about the menu .
