antica pizzeria & ristorante

at the niagara falls, we decided to head over to antica for lunch. the service was extremely slow. we had to wait for a longertimeto get our food on the table. we ordered a few appetizers & pasta which were just ok. due to their service, they also messed up a few drinks that we had ordered 😐. at the end we ordered a pizza which was comparatively better in taste.

disappointing and waaaaay overpriced. they claim their pizzas are 12" - what they mean is it comes in a 12" square box, with lots of room around it, and far worse than that is the 2-3" ring of undressed crust surrounding the nice little personal pizza in the middle. lasttimein niagara falls we got from bravo, much better and not such a ripoff. i have no idea who rates this joint above 3 stars, let alone how it got on a value-for-money list...maybe those people usually eat at airports?
yes this garish tourist town has a teeming abundance of overpriced and unappealing chains and other crap. doesn’t make this joint any better. i won't be back.

went here with my friend. we were recommended by a niagara falls resident who happens to also be italian . she told us this place had the best pizza in town. we went straight there. being near the downtown strip parking i could see being a problem on weekends especially.
atmosphere- clean and bright with a wood oven as soon as you walk in. the pizza guy the wholetimewe were there constantly put pizzas in and pulled them out with notimefor resting. it made me tired just watching him
food- we had 2 pizzas- #10 and #16. all i can say was both were fantastic and the crust was the top quality fr sure. thin and not soggy in the least. sauuce  was also flavourful and toppings plentiful. we had a phylo goat pastry to start that was scrumptious with fresh olives. yum
service- impeccable. our waiter was a young kid really who was a pro. he checked on us periodically, just enough without being intrusive. he was personable and he helped to make the evening lovely. 
impression- i will go again and i will tell my friends to go there when they are there too,

a great restaurant among so much mediocre choices in this tourist town. we arrived on a sunday evening at 6:30 (primetime) to be the 4th or 5th group in line. total waitingtimewas less than 10 minutes (well worth the wait). lots of families so expect a trade off if you seek a romantic setting. but as a family we really enjoyed ourselves. from a kids meal prepared as my daughter asked (sauce on the side) to our pizza, and pasta orders everything was great. highly recommend sharing the arancini.

visited antica this holiday weekend. nora was our server, warm cheery and welcoming. we had the roasted veggie and goat cheese pizza ... it was awesome. they best pizza i've ever had, needless to say i'll def visit again nexttimei'm in the falls.

great food and atmosphere, you need to eat here!!!

this place came recommended by my sister... when we arrived there was a line up for seats for the restaurant, waittimewasn't too bad. the staff were nice, very busy restaurant, our food was served promptly and in my honest opinion it wasn't bad. tasty. had the calamari and shared chicken pizza. :) bill came to $33

sadly disappointed... my family and i have eaten here multiple times and eachtimewere hoping for a better experience than the last... not the case! our main course came out before our appetizers, our food was cold and had appeared to be sitting. one of the pizzas was likely made wrong as you could see where some toppings were just picked off... after hearing good things, we gave it a fair shot (x3) never again

night salvaged!. initially we went to a restaurant around the corner that looked like a funeral parlour. the server there was pressing us to order our mains when we ordered our drinks and apps. luckily we needed moretimeto decide. in retrospect that should have been a huge red flag as the place was not busy at all. we got our tasteless, overpriced apps, warm beer and watered down cosmo and promptly asked for the bill. the server did not seem surprised.
the night was salvaged when i checked urban spoon--my group ignored my warning at the first place--we went to antica.
we all enjoyed the modern, light atmosphere. the food was great. my wife loved her eggplant parmesan and the cosmo. the service was first rate even though the restaurant was full. there was a lineup when we left and i can understand why.

anytime we are in nf. or nearby, we stop in. it's been consistent over the years. thistimewe brought my family. 15+. of us. given the nature of the pizza. quick cooking, we could order for all the kids and get them fed fairly quickly.timeit right and you won't need to stand in line.

we go to antica everytimewe visit the falls. they never disappoint. our food is always amazing!! as an italian i can say this is true authentic italian food! do yourself a favor and try antica.
