great wolf lodge holiday - dinner away from the lodge. the lodge is fun, but i like to get out and try some other restaurants that aren't quite so reliant on your presence at the hotel.
we decided to try antica due to some positive reviews. we were a party of 8 with 3 boys under 10 years old. the restaurant is at the top of clifton hill on a main street so where to park is the first tip i can offer. there is a small parking lot just beside the restaurant that you access from a large size alley way. looks like i could have parked there for free, but i didn't see it at first so we paid $5 down the street.
antica is a busy place with quite a few tables. it's one of the larger restaurants on the strip there. we were seated right away on the thursday evening. overall, i'd say this is a good place for families to go. it was just right for us. it's a bit loud and busy inside but that didn't bother us. for a couple looking for a quiet romantic evening, this might not be the place.
we asked what was good on the menu, and the waitress recommended the mediterranean chicken pasta. it was very good. our boys shared a custom made pizza with was made in their stone, wood fired pizza oven, which they all enjoyed. the boys and the adults liked seeing the pizza oven in operation. another person ordered the ravioli - it was ok but maybe not what i'd be recommending as "the dish to have there".
all in all, we had a good time, everyone enjoyed theirfoodand the service was good, despite being really busy place. i'd go back for sure.
the pasta entrées were about $15-$18, the 12" pizzas were about $15 - $18. the 12" pizza fed our 3 boys ages 9, 9, and 7. another one fed the 17 yr old who was with us.
