used to be goodtacosnot much anymore.. i used to go here quite a bit over the last 1.5 years. over the past 6 months the best fishtacoshave become the worst and i will not eat them anymore. i had the beef, chicken and porktacosover the last week and they have become just as bad. they are tasteless and are 3/4 full of cabbage!!tacoswere great a year ago!

the margs have increased in price from $7 to $8.25 now and it is not even a double.

the place is great to go for some drinks and the staff is fantastic, unless they don't like you or will not get a big tip. they will ignore you then. we waited 25 min for our bill.

bland and boring. 4 of us decided to try this restaurant for a birthday. we made reservations for 6:15pm on a friday, as we were told between 6:30 – 9:00pm is their blackout period – not a huge deal. when we arrived we were seated in the “bar area” which is brighter than the rest of the restaurant due to the glass roof (not a bad thing) but we thought we would have had a better table since we made a reservation? the table was round and quite small for 4 people to fully enjoy themselves. our waitress came over right away and was excellent. she told us what drinks were the best and what type of food was most popular. we all started with margaritas, which were tasty, but pricey for the size (approximately 3 – 4oz (only 1oz of tequila)) for $8.00. between the 4 of us, we ordered the table side guacamole. we found this entertaining while it was made in front of us but it was extremely bland, i love guacamole and can make a better tasting bowl than this "mexican" restaurant. we then had the ginger coconut shrimp – delicious, but how you can you really mess that up? we also had another appetizer, which i cannot remember the name maybe similar to the empanadas. they were ok, but small. we then ordered 12tacos(4 cod, 4 beef and 4 pork). they all tasted the same, which was bland. this place has no flavor and it is overpriced. i was expecting a lot more, as i heard great things about it. if you are into over paying for bland boring food, then this is the place for you. i would not recommend this to my friends nor would i go back.

it was terrible, gaucamole had no flavor....we ordered a sample of alltacosand each had no flavor, very bland. the mushroom corn taco tasted like a an entire jar of thyme. thyme works for turkey stuffing not tacos....its 2hours later and i can still taste it. i'm never going back and would never recommend it. good atmosphere but terrible food. you can't get by on atmosphere alone......

anejo is a great little mexican restaurant located in mission. thetacosand guacamole are delicious and i love the varieties of salsa they serve with your dishes. i would highly recommend the lunch specials or happy hour if you’re looking to make your visit more affordable. the mezcalerita is my absolutely favourite margarita. try it out!

pro: food!tacosare amazing
con: very busy

we visited on sat night. they were very very busy but we luckily didn't need to wait.

we tried salsa, chicken wings, and tacos. we liked all the food! they were all delicious.

the salsa was served on stone bowl and the server mush it up at the table in front of you. they ask your preference of spiciness, so you can adjust the heat which was very nice. also, you can tell what's in it since they make it in front of you. it was made with simple ingredients and it was very fresh!

i usually like guacamole as well, but it seemed like their guacamole has tomato in it and it was very similar to salsa so we only got salsa in this time.

wings were decent, too!

for tacos, i really liked them. we tried beef, pork, chorizo, i believe. they were all so tasty, the filling was so big and seasoned just right. the taco wrapper, you can choose from wheat or corn. we went for corn and it was very good.

we didn't try and cocktail or tequila, but they have big alcohols selection so we will definitely try next time!

over all, i loved it!!

honestly this place is beyond overrated. the service was really amateur, like they have hired people who've never waited tables in their life. second thetacoswere terrible, they were the worsttacosi've had in yyc for sure! they are loaded with salt - maybe there little trick to make you thirsty and want to order more booze (i know how that goes - was industry for years), but for real they were not enjoyable and to be honest i would rather have gone to taco bell ( which i despise) because they basically were as salty and lifeless as that. (did i mention we didn't get any sauce selection as they menu said we would, and the deer in head lights waiter didn't bother with giving us cutlery either. we were so hungry we just ate and didn't bother waiting for them. and let's talk about the drinks! i ordered a classic margarita which had maybe 1/2 of a cup liquid, i could not taste any tequila (yes this was my first drink of the day) and it was loaded with ice. i'm never coming back here. there are sooooo many other good mexican joints in yyc now. don't waste your money here peeps! trust me on this one. i only rated a two because i appreciate their tequila selection.

we were in anejo last night. the ambience and place was decent. however the food was horrible. the only saving grace were the guacamole and margaritas. the service was really slow but that's still ok since it was pretty busy for a weekday night.
for main course i had the pork belly tacos. the pork was so hard and rubbery that it was a task to even cut it so didn't bother eating it. pork belly is supposed to me the yummiest and i was so looking forward to thetacosbut was more than disappointing. besides the meat the taco just had red cabbage and pineapples. not much flavour.
one of our friends had the mole chicken which was basically a huge piece of unseasoned fried chicken with a really bad mole sauce. another friend at chilli rellenos which wasn't bad but we have had better.
i'm a desserts person but by the end of the meal lost appetite for it, which is very rare.
definitely wouldn't recommend it for mains. it's okay for a drinks and a side of guacamole.

stopped in for lunch on a very cold day. we were seated promptly and offered water and menus...so far, so good. we opted for the lunch special...tacos. i asked for corn tortillas, my friend opted for flour. good thing i'm not gluten intolerant (i know, for most of those "sufferers", it is either imaginary or a pathetic cry for attention) as mytacoscame on flour tortillas. worse...the fillings were mediocre. the topping sauces were good though. what really bothered me was that they were serving side condiments in wooden bowls that had cracks and grooves that could not be properly sanitized. the idea of the wooden bowl was cool and i guess trendy but definitely made me uncomfortable. so far no montezuma's revenge. would i go back? maybe at happy hour.

añejo is definitely somewhere you should try at least once, if only for their table side guac. it's smooth and creamy, but chunky and flavourful, with just the right amount of heat and texture. i like theirtacosand other offerings, but the guac is usually the main reason i'll go (and sit and drink four beers with friends).

arrived just shortly after 9pm and we were greeted with the question "what did you plan on eating tonight cause we only have tacos." we were sat and told once againtacosonly. we ordered margaritas, all of which were tasty, a few dessert trios, and yes tacos.tacoswere mini and very full, with a variety of sauces to spice things up. our server was friendly which made up for the first interaction. all in all pretty good. it definitely check the time you go, or you too shall only have tacos!!
