great experience! it's awesome to see how they've transformed that space! it's a great room!!! staff were all very friendly and accommodating! we only had a few appies, but they were pretty tasty and came out really quickly. i can't wait to go back!!!

bad service, bad food.. to start with, the table they sat us was too small, barely fit two people and we were five. we didn't have space for our food and when i asked the hostess for a bigger table she said they have another reservations for those tables but no one showed up .. very disappointing.
the waiters were not informed or had any knowledge of the menu or restaurant.
except for the margaritas (they were good). there was nothing special about the food. typically mexican food is rich in flavours and spices but this food lacked flavor and came off as just spicy with no substance. not coming back.

anejo's mexican take on poutine was housemade tortilla chips with cheese curd, red cheese sauce, and pork shoulder, all found on top of shredded cabbage. although tasty, this was not poutine in my books. though myself and some fellow poutiners were thankful for the cabbage as it was our only vegetable source for the entire day so far.

my favourite restaurant in the city. we always go for happy hour (or halfy hour) - $5 margs and beer and half price tacos. the tables side guacamole is a highlight. the chili lime margarita is dangerously good. we usually go on a monday or tuesday afternoon, but on weekends this place gets packed. such a fun environment. just go.

used to be good tacos not much anymore.. i used to go here quite a bit over the last 1.5 years. over the past 6 months the best fish tacos have become the worst and i will not eat them anymore. i had the beef, chicken and pork tacos over the last week and they have become just as bad. they are tasteless and are 3/4 full of cabbage!! tacos were great a year ago!

the margs have increased in price from $7 to $8.25 now and it is not even a double.

the place is great to go for some drinks and the staff is fantastic, unless they don't like you or will not get a big tip. they will ignore you then. we waited 25 min for our bill.

bland and boring. 4 of us decided to try this restaurant for a birthday. we made reservations for 6:15pm on a friday, as we were told between 6:30 – 9:00pm is their blackout period – not a huge deal. when we arrived we were seated in the “bar area” which is brighter than the rest of the restaurant due to the glass roof (not a bad thing) but we thought we would have had a better table since we made a reservation? the table was round and quite small for 4 people to fully enjoy themselves. our waitress came over right away and was excellent. she told us what drinks were the best and what type of food was most popular. we all started with margaritas, which were tasty, but pricey for the size (approximately 3 – 4oz (only 1oz of tequila)) for $8.00. between the 4 of us, we ordered the table side guacamole. we found this entertaining while it was made in front of us but it was extremely bland, i love guacamole and can make a better tasting bowl than this "mexican" restaurant. we then had the ginger coconut shrimp – delicious, but how you can you really mess that up? we also had another appetizer, which i cannot remember the name maybe similar to the empanadas. they were ok, but small. we then ordered 12 tacos (4 cod, 4 beef and 4 pork). they all tasted the same, which was bland. this place has no flavor and it is overpriced. i was expecting a lot more, as i heard great things about it. if you are into over paying for bland boring food, then this is the place for you. i would not recommend this to my friends nor would i go back.

never had a worse server.. i have never had such a rude, unhappy, unfriendly waitress in my life. she didn't even smile once, seemed like she was a rush to get us out, she was in such a hurry she ended up spilling water on my friends phone, and took away my plate before i was done eating or before even asking if i was done eating! just absolutely rude. waited about 15 minutes before we even got our drink, was rude when we had asked for more jalapenos and we also asked for hot sauce and she didn't even reply just turned around and walked away. i have called the manager and told her about the experience i had with anejos.. the service completely ruined our night. i enjoy seeing people be happy and enjoying their work, and making costumes experience the best they possibly can.. and i got the opposite.

a fun place to go for good guacamole and decent tacos. i would not say it is the best but certainly good.
they have a wide selection of tequila, but fairly small for beer.
great place for a casual hang out, their habenero mayo is pretty amazing.

it was terrible, gaucamole had no flavor....we ordered a sample of all tacos and each had no flavor, very bland. the mushroom corn taco tasted like a an entire jar of thyme. thyme works for turkey stuffing not tacos....its 2hours later and i can still taste it. i'm never going back and would never recommend it. good atmosphere but terrible food. you can't get by on atmosphere alone......

i've always wanted to try anejo until i did at the lilac festival. their tacos were bland and nothing special. i don't need to try anything else.

anejo is a great little mexican restaurant located in mission. the tacos and guacamole are delicious and i love the varieties of salsa they serve with your dishes. i would highly recommend the lunch specials or happy hour if you’re looking to make your visit more affordable. the mezcalerita is my absolutely favourite margarita. try it out!

went there yesterday on my birthday yesterday with friend! it was my first time here! it was super busy on a wednesday night! we tried the chilli coconut margherita and strawberry rhubarb margherita which were ready good! loved the heat in the margherita! had the chips and guacamole! the fact they make the guac right in front of you is super cool! tacos were good n the churros too! will definitely come back soon
