one of my favourite lunch stops. not much more i can say other than, having visited this place hundreds of times, it doesn't get old.
one caveat here: always skip the crab. always!!!
like one friend who was employed here called it: i can't believe it's not crab pollack...it's worse!!!!
if i am really hungry, i order the 2x beef and bean burrito, and my wife is always disgusted with the fact that i consistently finish it, down to the last scraping of their delicious bbq sauce.
i also regularly order tha double-grilled quesadilla (best quesadilla i have ever had, none others are even close!) and the carnitas pueblo, both superb.
saskatoon actually has its act together as far as latin eats goes. between ee burritos, las palapa, la bamba, and amigos, i do not envy the person who thought it was a good idea to open a chili's franchise here in saskatoon. all four of these places have items that chili's could only dream of matching, due in no small part to the creative stasis which afflicts all franchise restaurants.
but i digress. amigos always has reasonable service, prices, and great food at lunch. the only horror stories i have heard (and i have heard a few) relate to their supper hour, which in my view reflects the level of staff they employ at night and the shift in priority from food to booze than it does reflect the food itself, which is always really good.
