fantastic nachos. great place to go for a plate of nachos and a drink!
the place can get packed, so be patient - it's worth it.
i've ordered off of the menu before and while the food is pretty good, i just prefer the nachos over an actual meal.

huge portions. although i was there during the lunch hour i wanted to order from the main menu, which did not present a problem. i ordered the enchilada+burrito combo. the food arrived in a timely manner and was served pleasantly and courteously. i found both the enchilada, olive and bean, and the burrito meat and bean, to be a bit bland. but it may just have been my jaded palate. there are very few restaurants that serve portions that i cannot finish, but i met my match here. the bean and rice sides were well done and tasty. definitely worth another try.

delicious!!. every time we go there, we order the nachos. they are to die for! i won't eat nachos anywhere else because they don't even compare. in general, the service is pretty chill, and laid back, but that's what you expect. having art around keeps table conversation going, and makes amigos feel unique. it's kind of rough around the edges, but definitely the best mexican food in town. always my number one choice for a pint and appys.

this has been my favorite place to eat, drink, and watch shows for about 8 years. the food is fantastic and the service is always good. the beans and rice are to die for.

overpriced fast food style slop. dirty food dirty place ignorant people. its almost like it makes just enough money for the owner to not care

i used to enoy comming here. but then i ended up being invited for drugs in the kitchen witch by the way is more like a crack house rather than a workplace. after my harrowing expeirince i wont be back. but its just sad to see a place with so much potental get run down by a bunch of junkies. mabey if there staff were more compitent theay could cook real food not this deep fry microwave pre fab crap

best casual spot in saskatoon. amigos is one of the few restaurants in saskatoon where you can safely close your eyes, point to anything on the menu and be satisfied with your meal.

far from gourmet, amigos elects to keep their tex-mex style simple and hearty. this allows them to keep their offerings consistent each and every visit. if you prefer variety and seasonal offers, you should probably open your wallet and go somewhere else. if you have a craving for their chimichanga, tortilla pizza or crab nachos, you know it will be there and be prepared well every day of the week.

amigos is delightfully unpretentious. it doesn't hide the fact that it is used for live music most nights. suits sit next to us regular folk at lunch. and no matter the time of day, you'll never be the only one there sharing a pitcher of beer.

don't judge a book by its cover. this place is a bit of a hidden gem. it looks like a dive but the food was very good. we had great service and will definitely be back.

fantastic!. this place looks like crap but the food is amazing. the decor and ugliness in general is very prominent and hopefully does not extend into the kitchen. i have eaten here many times and have yet to be disappointed. the food is excellent and will bring you back over and over again. there is nothing on the menu that will disappoint, just go there and order blind folded and you will be amazed.

amigos is great food great people and a while ago a cute dude invited me in the kitchen for drinks. everyone was great it was a very personal rare experience and the best i have had. dont worry guys your secrets are safe with me

had lunch today at amigos. good service, satisfactory food, but the decibel level was uncomfortably high. i don't know if anything can be done but it spoiled my lunch.

i see a lot of people are complaining that amigos is slightly dirty and run down, maybe take a hint, management. a good scrub and a wipe of the menus will not erase the charm. we were there sept 10/2011. service was slow but there were only two servers for the whole place. my boyfriends ancho chicken enchildas were tasty though the centre was lukewarn. my chicken soft taco was great. all in all good for a casual tex-mex meal

mmm mole negro. i used to order the double grilled chicken quesadilla simply for the mole negro. once i went back to vegetarian i fell in love with the vegetariano fajitas but didn't like the lila mole as much so now i get it special ordered with mole negro and i am a happy camper. their rice and beans are tasty too. sometimes the front entrance smells funny and that separate room area is a bit run down but i guess that's what adds to the 'charm'? i think it's reasonably priced for the size of portions you get.

a tad dingy but still good. i've been to amigos many times over the years, most recently just a few weeks ago. i've always had good food - my favourite is the lila mole fajitas. it's a popular place for mexican fare, as well as being a watering hole with beer, nachos and live music.

one thing that i wish the owners would do is spend a little money on the decor. the interior is really looking run-down. the carpets are threadbare, the linoleum floor looks grimy, the tables are wobbly and the chairs have cracked upholstery. the whole place needs a reno so it doesn't look and feel so dark and dingy.
