amalfi ristorante italiano

had the pleasure of eating here with family and very close friends. absolutely fantastic, may not due the food and friendly service any justice, but its agoodstarting point. excellent pricing, friendly and knowledgeable service, warm and inviting atmosphere. the food is the center piece and the brick oven the mastepiece. all food is cooked to order and is just like being home and having an italian dinner at grandma's house on sunday at 2 pm. joe, the owner, is gratious and overflowing with italian hospitality. the food is simply prepared but ohhhh sooooo delicious. i highly recomend amalfi ristorante italiano to every one. i am larry monte of phoenix, arizona and i approve this message (and the food at amalfi's ristorante italiano.

solid neighborhood italian. early saturday dinner, immediately seated and brought drinks and warm bread.
calamari app...arrived hot and crunchy with a mild sweet marinara. very good!
antipasto, a nice salad of mixed greens with some meats and such. average, but fresh tasting.
wife had eggplant rollatino. couldn't find the ham in it, but it was good, not heavy or greasy.
my usual, spaghetti & meatballs was good. two small but tasty balls,goodpasta, but drenched in
meatless sauce. a huge plus for my taste...they are light handed with the garlic!
service was very friendly and attentive. the owner, joe is right there and seems well liked by staff.
this is a comfortable, reasonably priced local place. unpretentious, busy with takeout orders, comfortable.
we will be returning regularly.

fantastic. these brothers know how to do a solid neighborhood italian restaurant. you're not going to find anything flashy here, but if you're looking for that neighborhood spot with great customer service, friendly owner, andgoodhearty food, this is the place. just like miele's:goodfood and welcoming environment. recommend the white pizza or any of the heros. they have peroni on tap, which is nice, too.

really great!. i needed to find an italian restaurant that i could place a large order for a dinner i was hosting in my home. it was in honor of my daughter and she only wanted italian food. amalfi had just opened up across the street from my neighborhood. i had never eaten there but i took a leap of faith. the owner, i think his name is joseph, took great care of me. he was friendly and acommodating. we ordered 3 entrees which comes with salad and fresh bread. i had to feed 16 people and my bill was around $175. i think that is very reasonable. and of course the food....the food was great! my family is from ny and they knowgooditalian food. i was a little nervous that they wouldn't like it..good italian food is hard to find in az. but they loved it! the fresh baked bread was soooo good! we also had meatballs, baked penne and chicken parmesan. all were fabulous! my favorite though was the chicken parmesan. i would definitely go back and will refer all my friends. they haven't been advertising for some reason so i sure hope they get enough business to stay there. that location seems to be cursed as the last 2 italian restaurants that were there closed.goodluck amalfi!
