amadora gourmet ice cream & sorbet

hail mary -- is all i can think about when it comes to tasting amadora ice creams.
have tried this flavour multiple times, never fails you.
agoodplace to spend a peaceful quite evening.

i visited amadora last evening withgoodexpectations but i could not find the menu which shown in zomato online , they saying tht all tht shown in online we stopped long time ago !! little unsatisfactory. i have ordered for cocoa fudge which is really hard to eat even though it is a icecream based shd be comfortable to scoop it to eat !! service guy was very fond of making the bill for me and asked to pay first
instead of service my stuff !! th spoon which was given for notgoodlols like breaking while scooping the icecream tht much dam frozen !! i asked to service guy why it is so hard to eat why can’t u guys give us semifrozn he said to wait for few minutes to get into normal temperature to eat !! i am a really upset and left the ppace without eating it !!

nice and quite place to chill out (literally ) with their amazing icecreams.
tried three flavours malt,mami's filter kapi and pecan pie. then ordered 2 out of them . they were mami's filter kapi and pecan pie.

mami's filter kapi had the perfect blend with light bitterness of the coffee (as i would prefer it) . tasted just heavenly and smooth and creamy.

the pecan pie was yummy too with mild spices and pecan bits here and there,it tastedgoodtoo... (a bit sweet for my taste, but still worth it)

over all a great experience. the staff were patient and courteous to give samples of the ice creams we wanted to taste. the bill of these two amounted to rs.440/-

if only desserts had an address in chennai, then amadora would be the calling card for it. one of the best dessert places i've been to in chennai.
with their great flavours, straight-forward setting and lightning flash service, these people deserve to be called the best of chennai.

xocolat ice-cream sandwich - whattawow chocolate cake with hot fudge & callebaut chocolate ice-cream; the spongy outer texture with the dark taste from the xocolat was heavenly, so satisfying
nutella ice-cream sandwich - pretty much the same setup but the soft outer brownie layer with the super fudgy ice-cream (which doesn't hurt sensitive teeth) is soooogoodwith the sweet nutella texture
dark chocolate sorbet - totally a fan of dark chocolate now since the smooth sorbet with the kick from the dark choco was wooow
mami's filter coffee - unbelievable combination of tn filter coffee flavour with ice-cream; sour kicky on one end while smooth and satisfying on the whole
mint chocolate chip - weird combo since i personally considered mint in chocolates as sin but this sinful combination was the perfect freshener for the mouth along with the chocolate, good
chocolate caramel chocobar - this no-melt ice-cream stays strong to the stick for so long; crunchy, melt in mouth outer layer with silky caramel, holy smokes
vanilla raspberry cheesecake - finally was the show stealer, this mild-sweet cheesecake stays true to its color with hard base, soft frosting and rich amazing consistency, sweet

parking might be a concern since it is located at the dead-end of a narrow street. nevertheless, their outdoor seating with a quiet atmosphere makes the meal a memorable one.

trust me, everything was excellent. vanilla was just outstanding. no mistake made with mami's filter coffee; what you relished in a dabara set is served stone cold, with the taste being a notch higher. for god's sake, please do give caramelized white chocolate a try. it cannot get any better. dark chocolate sorbet lite wasgoodas well. under baked food items. "a cup" is something that i really enjoyed, and as the name says, "chocolate crisp" was crunchy as well, but the overall taste of chocolate crisp was okay is what i would say.

any downsides? would possibly burn a hole in one's pocket :d. had the price was a bit lower, and the portion a bit more, i would have rated it a perfect 5.

on my wish-list for a long time!! now i must says its the best and its a rich dessert parlour serving the best of all flavours !!
ordered the following but will be a frequent visitor to explore their other flavours

chocolate brownie one scoop: loaded with chunks of brownie
double chocolate chip two scoops: very rich and yummy
vanilla raspberry bar 💯 the best

the cake tasted exquisite.
delicious and mellow, it was a delight to the palate.
the ice cream didn't disappoint too. verygood(although, it was too cold for my preference but i would not complain as it was supposed to be like that for an ice cream sandwich).
the chocolate layer and cake was perfectly balanced and unforgettable.

bit pricey but the ice cream is amazing. the ambience is okay. probably the best ice cream in chennai, along with schmoozies.goodto see they are expanding and opening stores in other cities as well.

having heardgoodreviews about this place, we decided to check it out on a sunday afternoon for dessert.

it was located in a dead end street so we had to park our car in the main road and walk all the way into in hot sun which was quite tiring.

the ambience was nothing much to comment on. just a banner about the restaurant and few tables and chairs.

the dessert menu was quite limited with nothing much innovative to brag about.

we ordered a cup cake with bean vanilla ice cream which was okayish. the dark chocolate cake was good.

the pricing was way too high for the stuff in my personal opinion.

wouldn't go there again.

i'm not sure what the hype is all about this place. they servegoodice cream no doubt, but charging hella lot for something which is just asgoodas any other place isn't justified. anyhow , we tried 2 ice cream cakes.
the vanilla raspberry variant and the xocolat- caramel both of which were good. nothing exceptional. the ambiance is great though .
overall do give this place a visit.

a reallygoodplace to have high-quality icecream. a tad overpriced,but excusable since it is an exclusively gourmet icecream parlour. anything chocolate is a must-try here.

first this is the best place to taste dessert in chennai . now there are many branches but initially there was not much and i always choose nungambakkam branch . who ever i meet new or whenever my frds are from different places come to chennai i take here for sure .. and they always go awestruck on the taste .. my most favourite is underbacked cake with icecream ... it’s a bliss to taste it .... this place ambience is also toogoodthat u can hang out with your frds and also for date ... u will surely get a appreciation from whoever u take to this place . please do try this place atleast once and u will visit often for sure
