chef sampler menu was a truly elegant experience. full of amazing flavour profiles. this was a truly elegant experience. full of amazing flavour profiles and unexpected pairings. service was flaw less and the atmosphere was great. however they may want to think about some sound dampening treatment as it was quite noisy when the restaurant filled up. we all had agreatevening and will return.

outstanding food. this is a very contemporary restaurant. the atmosphere is very contemporary, the food is exstremely creative and delicous. the wine list is fantastic and the service was great. it is very expensive but well worth the money.
the contemporary but lively atmosphere makes it agreatplace for a date or party, not the best for entertaining clients. there is no real lounge either. i will definatley go back.

i keep going back. yet to be disappointed. have gone two times and both times the meal has been fantastic. wine list is diverse and well priced.greatservice and management! last time we went for a friends birthday. i had a special bottle of wine for this occasion and asked if they had a corkage fee. the manager said that they dont usually allow it but would make an exception. needless to say we were more than happy and still ended up buying 2 other bottles off their list.

the restaurant was beautiful on the inside- a definate diamond in the hiding. the menu pricey but i must say they put agreatdeal of love & skill into the dishes they serve. delicious ahi tuna! the best i have had- better than red water.

i love the place and ambiance. the food wasgreattoo. nice and friendly staff. i would like to try here on summer. this is a nice place to celebrate special occasions.

this is a hidden gem!! the meal was amazing! creative and flavorful. will definitely be back! the service and atmosphere only added to thegreatexperience. had the gnocchi as an appetizer and the short rib for a meal 💣

i've been lucky enough to eat at alloy a number of times including their new years eve set menu last december which was fantastic.  as it was my birthday dinner i had high expectations and as usual alloy did not disappoint.  we were shown to our table, a booth with that silky smooth white leather.  atmosphere was great for dinner out with your significant other.  as our drink order was taken we were offered tap, still or sparkling water. we had some trouble deciding on what appetizers as everything looked great, settling on the lobster risotto and crispy pork belly.  meanwhile we had the fresh pita bread, olive and hummus basket set out. normally we clean this up quick smart but that night someone had a heavy hand with the cumin and it was overpowering and not so good.  the appetizers arrived and as we were sharing these, started on the pork belly first.  one word for this dish, amazing!  my wife avoids pork belly normally as it can be quite fatty. i chose this one and she was glad i did. it was the highlight of the dinner. not too much fat, a nice caramelisation on the outside and soft and melt in your mouth inside. the portion was generous and well worth what they ask. the lobster risotto was creamy, tasty and generous with the lobster. couldn't have asked for a better start to the meal. the mains we ordered were beef short rib for my wife and lamb chops for me.  the server (who wasgreatall night) made sure to let me know they serve the lamb medium rare which i'm fine with.  nice that she gives a heads up on that.  the size of the mains was very generous. the beef short rib was fall of the bone and melt in your mouth. my lamb was juicy and also melt in your mouth delicious. have to say, alloy you guys do agreatjob with portion size. the only people who should be going home hungry after a meal here is a sumo wrestler. we finished with coffee and dessert.  mini doughnuts with dulce de leche for me and orange creamsicle crème brulee for my wife.  loved my dessert in fact loved the whole meal.  this is becoming one of my favourite places to eat out.thanks alloy!

been a few times. all times weregreatexcept for my last. our meals were presented nicely, however mine was severely undercooked. they took my meal back and reheated it rather than providing a new dish. however, the reheated dish came back out very overcooked.

they should be stripped of the terms "fine dining". i had ordered the lamb for $46 dollars. my food came out luke warm and the quality of the lamb is maybe something you get at local mom and pops place that has mediocre food at best. the lamb was chewy and underseasoned. the sauce that went with it wasgreatbut there wasn't enough sauce on my plate. our group was 12 people and everyone agreed that their main dish was "barely ok or unacceptable"

our waiter was great, my only complaint was that in a high end restaurant, if the customer is unharppy there should be a discount on the bill. our entire table didn't enjoy their mains and there was no discount. to be called fine dining there's a certain level of class and character when it comes to reputation of good food. this place had no good food and made no effort in character to make up for it hence i believed it' should be stripped of the the right to use the term "fine dining" fine would be the last adjective i would use for the food, but i did enjoy the atmosphere.

great atmosphere,greatfood. at first i pulled into the parking lot to find an industrial looking building that did not look welcoming or even restaurant like in the very least. once inside my opinion changed drastically. beautiful interior and a good atmosphere.

their drink menu is quite lovely with several cocktails (i had a rhubarb mojito). wine list does leave a little to be desired however.

lunch menu has somegreatchoices and the seafood hoy pot that i chose was flavourful and the perfect amount for the light lunch i was looking for.

service was reasonable but the server could have, at the very least cracked a smile. however, she still did her duties well.

overpriced water. went there for a birthday lunch and service was great. however when asked if we wanted still or sparkling water we chose sparkling. when asked if we wanted more water we just said yes not knowing it was 8 dollars a bottle. we drank 4 bottles and i was shocked when the bill came and there was 32 dollars for water. they should invest in a machine like other restaurants and charge a flat rate of 2 dollars per person. the food wasn'tgreatfor the price. soup was very salty and salad had very little dressing. needless to say we won't be back.

perfect evening.greatup-scale dining. our appetizers weregreatand everyone had nothing but compliments for the meals. the chef special seared ahi was likely the best ahi i've ever tried. i would have expected to pay much more for the quality. highly recommended.

creative food.greatportion sizes and had agreatserver jorge who just made the experience a much more peaceful.

this was the last weekend to enjoy the winter menu at alloy  and oh, i will miss the buttermilk chicken with cayenne sugared yam doughnuts and the deconstructed pumpkin cheesecake! the service was spot on and we were givengreatmenu suggestions. my friends and i loved our meal and look forward to our next visit (hope the lovely patio will be open!).

amazing. i make a point of using urbanspoon every time i am looking for somewhere new to eat and since i am storm stayed in calgary i looked for places close to the hotel. this place is right off of macloed trail in calgary, north of the chinook mall. they start you off with some warm bread, hummus, and olives to get you settled. i then ordered the braised short ribs and the deconstructed pumpkin pie for desert. the food was amazing, atmosphere wasgreatand you can tell this is a high end place. i will definitely be coming back would be agreatplace for celebrating any occasion!
