one of my favorites. this is one of my favorite restaurants in chattanooga, the food is amazing....that is all i can say..and theatmosphereand service has always been stellar.

i’m out of town from louisiana looking for some not so typical food. beautiful venue, amazing server (shout out to lydia!) i’m a 15 year strong service industry die-hard. 8 years in the foh, now working boh for 7 years now and always looking for food to wow me. for the last two years i have been working as the lead in the kitchen for a farm to table concept that opened in jan 17. this place is a king among restaurants. when the main dining is full it is slightly intimidating and buzzing with liveliness! the food is lavishly combined with precision and leaves the palate completely satisfied. the only thing close to as good as the food is theatmosphereand service staff.
i have been successfully wowed, thank you to every single person that makes this place tick on time.

i decided to try this restaurant while in chattanooga after reading all the great reviews. theatmospherewas nice and the service was good, but the food was just ok and kind of bland. i was craving pizza, so i went with the mushroom pizza and a caesar salad. i noticed that the menu says all of their pasta is prepared in house daily, so maybe that would have been a better choice.

snobby. this place is good, but it's not as good as the staff apparently think it is. pretty uppity for a place that has rather typical food. it's good! but they are definitely feeding off the fact that chattanooga still thinksatmosphereand "homemade" is the height of culinary sophistication. like i said, it's good, but the prices are laughable and the staff is rather snobby. great place for work meetings and social gatherings, not for casual dining.

atmosphere. i enjoy the dim, sexyatmospherethe most. the food is "usually" good and the service is iffy. however, it is good for a date night if you are not rushed.

my husband and i chose alleia for our anniversary dinner, and we are so glad we did! theatmosphereis very classy and upscale, but still fun and not at all stiff or fussy. i feel that is mostly due to the friendliness of the wait staff and the open floor plan and kitchen. (by the way, our server was ellie, and if you have her when you visit, you'll be very happy. she is very knowledgeable about wine+food pairings and is professional yet personable.) everything we had was delicious. ellie told us we could choose a half portion of the pasta course if we also chose an entree, so we each ordered pasta as well as an entree. that was a real treat, because it's very hard to choose from all the exciting dishes on the menu! we had the bacon wrapped dates as an appetizer; the butternut squash ravioli and a ribbon pasta with braised veal; a fig, prosciutto, and gorgonzola pizza, braised short ribs with polenta, garlic, and balsamic reduction, and tiramisu for dessert. (i am not doing the dishes justice because i am only remembering half of their ingredients as they appeared on the menu.) everything was fantastic and sensibly portioned. we would absolutely recommend alleia to anyone who values upscale dining, clean, locally sourced ingredients, handmade pasta, and a vibrant yet relaxing atmosphere.

hands down one of the best restaurants my wife and i have ever been to. i got the duck and my wife got the gorgonzola, fig, and blue cheese pizza which is a masterpiece in itself. so awesome. then we got the gellato and some wine. for appetizer we got bruschetta covered with gorgonzola cheese and honey. total ticket was about 125 and worth every penny. highly highly recommend theatmosphereis very romantic. btw it is not to dark. :)

amazing, simple, perfect food. certainly this is a special occasion dining spot, but worth saving up for. theatmospherewas beautiful, and the execution of service and cuisine spot on.

i like the ambiance better.... i liked the ambiance better than the food. beautiful restaurant, okay food.

pizza was probably the worst i've ever had. angel hair pasta with gulf shrimp was great. the ravioli tasted like it came from a can - not that it was terrible...just nothing special. small portions. very slow service. took a very long time to get drinks for our party of six. theatmospherewas impressive.

overrated!!!. what a letdown! we had been told by a few people, including the five stars from urbanspoon, that this restaurant was great -- not so... first, we were seated at a metal table in a booth overlooking the kitchen and a long empty table. i'm not sure why we weren't seated up front in the romantic part of the restaurant, which looked more romantic. my husband and i both had pasta dishes -- his tasted like hamburger helper and mine was like chef boyardee ravioli. so very disappointed!!! we both were looking forward to a wonderful italian dinner, but could have had better at olive garden. the server was really fantastic, which made the food andatmospherebearable. the photos of alleia are a bit of a letdown as well. we were visiting chattanooga and ate at some great places -- this one is biggest disappointment.

this place was wonderful! the food was all delicious, theatmospherewas very nice, and the service was exceptional. if you come to chattanooga and don't eat here, you are missing out! can't wait to bring my husband here!

theatmospherewas cool. service was horrible... had to wait 45 min past our reservation time. waitress didn't deserve a job at ryan's. she had 0 knowledge of the menu... the service at the bar was equally disappointing. tony's service food quality and selection is way better!!!

best fine dining in the area. alleia has not only the bestatmosphereand decor out of all the restaurants have visited in the chattanooga area but also the most knowledgeable staff. during my visit our waitress told us extensive details about there entire menu, everything from the local honey and bacon to where and when the fish of the day was caught. now i am getting the best part. the food. the bruschetta and ravioli are the best i have ever had, the steak is good but not their specialty. i have eaten at this establishment as well as boccaccia and hands down alleia is far better.

alleia. lovely dimly litatmosphere- great menu - nice selection of wines - very nice.
ps - dear clients, just because you get seated at the long table in the middle doesn't mean you have to start talking (loudly) to everyone at the table and asking them about their food. you should still be able to have a private dinner without nosy neighbors.
