sucked. the chef must be a pig. the worst food i have eaten and for the price, don't eat there. i hear his place in nashville sucks too. too bad he lost as best chef in the southeast. how he ever got nominated is a wonder.

was my favorite restaurant in chattanooga. apart form the hip setting, last evenings experience was sad. terribly mixed drinks. very poor wait staff. rude manager. high prices for a very poor performance. it will b a long time before i go back again. what a shame it's gone downhill.

superb!. this restaurant was excellent!! from the waiter to the presentation of the food to the taste. the chef has done such a great job on getting the flavors of each entree to mesh that there is nothing that you can do to improve it. it was truly satisfying. my husband and i went for our anniversary this past weekend (may 12), we started with the brushetta. excellent! then we had the romaine salad. could have not done a thing different to it. i had the ravioli and my husband had the spicy ziti. their pasta has such as refined taste. we finished up with the pork shoulder. that was so tender and had a wonderful flavor to it. we will be returning on father's day weekend to try out some other things on the menu. there are no words that can describe this place. it is far beyond excellent.

highly recommend the fondutta appetizer and red wine braised veal for your main course. i intended on comparing this to my favorite local italian restuarant boccacia but they are two totally different experiences all around, both great! at this time they are still both tied in my opinion.

i took my girlfriend on a date here. we dressed to the 9's. the food was great and the service was good. we had a really nice time till the end. we got expensive entrees and got a little wine so the ticket was a little hefty. i still tipped twenty five percent and told the server to keep the change. after the manager came and rudely almost tossed the ticket book back on the table and in a snarky manner said thanks. i understand we were a couple of kids in our early twenties, but we dressed for the occasion, spent a good amount of money, and tipped over 20%. i felt we were treated rudely and unfairly.

the benton's bacon wrapped dates were awesome. the wood-fired pork shoulder was out of this world. also sampled the quail breast and it was delicious. all foodies must try alleia.

amazing!. my brother and i were in town to golf the local area...chattanooga was equidistant from our homes in illinois and florida. we are fortunate to travel often and search for locally owned restaurants. having left a previously recommended restaurant prior to being seated, we happened upon alleia by accident. the decor is stunning with multiple seating options. without being overbearing, the wait-staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the ingredients and preparation of the widely varied menu. the food was awesome. our favorites were the flat bread with taleggio cheese and black truffles, the grilled romaine salad, the wood-fired pork shoulder in a balsamic reduction, and the carolina trout. given the ambiance, quality of the food and excellent service, the price was reasonable and warranted a generous gratuity. fortunately we found the restaurant early in our trip which ensured a return the last night we were there.

we hosted our daughter-in-law and son’s wedding rehearsal dinner at alleia on october 9. from the planning stages through the actual dinner, becky eilf was attentive, flexible, and eager to please. the renaissance room was set up beautifully for our group of 31. the food was absolutely delicious and our guests enjoyed being able to make their choices from the menu designed for the occasion. our servers hannah and thays did an exemplary job. i highly recommend alleia for your next special occasion or dinner date.

i’m out of town from louisiana looking for some not so typical food. beautiful venue, amazing server (shout out to lydia!) i’m a 15 year strong service industry die-hard. 8 years in the foh, now working boh for 7 years now and always looking for food to wow me. for the last two years i have been working as the lead in the kitchen for a farm to table concept that opened in jan 17. this place is a king among restaurants. when the main dining is full it is slightly intimidating and buzzing with liveliness! the food is lavishly combined with precision and leaves the palate completely satisfied. the only thing close to as good as the food is the atmosphere and service staff.
i have been successfully wowed, thank you to every single person that makes this place tick on time.

wow!
in town for one night and this place is two blocks from our hotel. the food was terrific! i would strongly recommend the gnocchi with pork belly! our server, kathleen, was very helpful and explained the menu and made good recommendations. the highlight of my stop here has to be the drinks. jared and matt who were tending bar really know their stuff. walking to our seat we passed the bar and i noticed many top shelf bourbons gt stagg & whistle pig! i ordered a sazerac (with sazerac) and i have to say it was the best one i've ever had......ever! next i ordered an old fashion with mitcher's rye. it was just as good. my wife ordered an old fashioned with el dorado 15 year rum and it was as good as expected. her second drink was a menu cocktail "tennessee mountain road".....a kind of old fashioned drink. it was good too. next time i'm out for drinks in chattanooga, i'm coming here!

one of the few places open after 9pm upon arriving in town later. staff was very attentive and covered down for waitress that was still busy late. wine recommendations and tastings far beyond what was expected. place is open with seatings for large groups, couples, the traveler wanting to sit at the bar and groups just hanging out to have drinks and share a pie. the pasta came out fast, fresh and fantastic. great food and people working here.
