a very different dynamic to the previous starbucks, alchemy is a very health oriented eaterie. focusing on paleo/clean/raw foods there is mostly salads for lunch along with healthy sweet treats and daily specials. i ordered the paleo stew which was the special of the day along with a flat white. i have to say i was pleasantly surprised by the depth of flavour of the stew. not filled with the usual vegetables but a lovely selection of wild mushrooms, squash and aubergine with a hint of spice. i'm looking forward to trying some cakes next time, although they are a bit on the pricey side. the staff aregreatand it's a lovely place to work in town!
