my wife and i were on our way to the airport to leave texas. we were in town to attend a graduation. before we leftdallaswe wanted to grab a bite for lunch at a nice texas style steakhouse, and by chance we stumbled across al biernat's while driving around downtown. much to our surprise everything was so exceptionally great from the service to the quality of food. we were treated like royalty from the start of our meal to the finish. my wife had the brioche french toast and and a crab cake benedict. i had the 24oz rib eye steak cooked medium and the garlic mashed potatoes with asparagus and brussel sprouts. everything was absolutely delicious and i am saying this truthfully the steak was the best steak i have ever had. each bite of it was so juicy, tender, and flavorful. go please and do yourself a favor.

i love al biernat’s! it is easily part of my top favorite 3 restaurants in dallas. the filet is excellent, but i almost always get the chicken parmesan (makes for amazing leftovers too). favorite drink here is the french 75. the thing that sets al biernat’s apart from other steakhouses indallasis the atmosphere. but make sure you get seated in the main dining room. i can’t say enough great things about it! one of the best restaurants in dallas!

i just got done having the most amazing experience at al biernat's. as a first time guest they treated us like we were at home right from the start. if you think the drinks are expensive you're right, but they are so worth it with the pour they give. friends of mine ordered mojitos and i easily could've had one and been done! we ordered the seafood platter to start. as a table, we had filets and surf and turf specials. so. freaking. good. i seriously think the filet is one of the best indallasi've had next to dakotas and bobs. our servers david and rock treated us like family. they served us a chocolate ganache fondue on the house and welcomed us home for being first time guests. if you enjoy hospitality, dining out and food comas go here!!!!!!!

not bad/not great. ate here in a recent trip to thedallasarea....while the restaurant has a nice ambiance, expansive menu, and stiff drinks....it should considering the price. i opted for the wet aged nf filet - i was not impressed. all of our steaks, not just my "high priced" one tasted like pork sausage. it was prepared correctly temp wise...but the flavor just didn't do it for me. luckily amazon.com was footing the bill so i'm not that displeased but am certain there are better chop houses in the area. for a restaurant like this, i expect hot towels after the appetizer and dinner....also i'd prefer not to have to soften my own butter over the candle at the table. i give it a c+

great, if you feel like dropping $70 on 1 entree. i have to say that the kobe/angus filet is probably one of the best steaks in town; however, at $68 it should be. other than the kobe filet, the other steaks are pretty much average. when i say "average" i mean comparatively speaking. don't get me wrong, the food is all delicious, but i thinkdallasjust has better steak houses.

al biernat's hosts a great business lunch scene. sunday brunch is good, but pricey.

overall, this is a good place and must try for the steakhouse enthusiast. nonetheless, in this town you can definitely find better steaks (some of which are just a few block away).
