high end. amazing highend restaurant, expect 100 or more per head and a feeling that you're a pesant if your car is worth less than 100k but it is still excellent food and a must do for dallas

my wife and i were on our way to the airport to leave texas. we were in town to attend a graduation. before we left dallas we wanted to grab a bite for lunch at a nice texas style steakhouse, and by chance we stumbled across al biernat's while driving around downtown. much to our surprise everything was so exceptionally great from the service to the quality of food. we were treated like royalty from the start of our meal to the finish. my wife had the brioche french toast and and a crab cake benedict. i had the 24oz rib eye steak cooked medium and the garlic mashed potatoes with asparagus and brussel sprouts. everything was absolutely delicious and i am saying this truthfully the steak was the best steak i have ever had. each bite of it was so juicy, tender, and flavorful. go please and do yourself a favor.

we went here on a saturday night in early november - not our first time here, and certainly a restaurant that we wanted to eat at again...and again...and again.

pulling into the valet parking area, you notice all the high end cars in the lot. you know that this is someplace special. the same feeling is had when walking into the restaurant, what you might expect at a high end steakhouse. service was outstanding, no mistakes were made, great recommendations, drinks were kept full...again what you might expect.

where al biernat's really stands out from other steakhouses is...the steak! we had filet mignon and prime rib as our main dishes, with a side of onion rings and steak soup. the filet mignon could be cut with a fork (really!) it was so tender. no gristle, no fat, pink in the middle, great flavor. i can say it was the best filet i have ever had. the prime rib was absolutely massive, the size of a third graders back pack! a flawless prime rib that can also be classified as "best ever had". the steak soup is a must-try...too bad it wasn't bottomless. the onion rings were ok, we might try something different next time.

this is certainly a top steakhouse in the dfw area and our personal favorite up to this point. other steakhouses may have a better ambiance, but this features the food like no other. delicious!

the food was great, we had the seafood tower and then the kobe style rib eye. the steak was just incredible! but what really got us was the service. they are really caring about customers’ satisfaction and they want to make sure that everything’s perfect.

thanks for having us and for the experience, such a great night!

i love al biernat’s! it is easily part of my top favorite 3 restaurants in dallas. the filet is excellent, but i almost always get the chicken parmesan (makes for amazing leftovers too). favorite drink here is the french 75. the thing that sets al biernat’s apart from other steakhouses in dallas is the atmosphere. but make sure you get seated in the main dining room. i can’t say enough great things about it! one of the best restaurants in dallas!

our favorite special occasion destination for gastronomical delights! mr al offers some of the finest cuts prepared flawlessly and offered up by some of the most knowledgeable wait staff in town! favorites include bone in filet (extra yummy) accompanied by some of the famous, perfect whipped sweet potatoes. don’t miss the awesome goat cheese, field green salad ( the best). can’t wait to go again soon! bonus, pay close attention to your fellow diners, celebrities, athletes and we even met monet’s grandson on one occasion. al is the very best host with tons of great stories from his many years of fine dining and his memory for names, birthdates and anniversaries is unbelievable! a must experience!

we were greeted at the door and seated promptly at 7:00. our waiter was very helpful and suggested to combine the crab cakes and shrimp appetizer-both were delicious. the sea bass was outstanding! the risotto which accompanied it was wonderful! we will definitely be returning.

i just got done having the most amazing experience at al biernat's. as a first time guest they treated us like we were at home right from the start. if you think the drinks are expensive you're right, but they are so worth it with the pour they give. friends of mine ordered mojitos and i easily could've had one and been done! we ordered the seafood platter to start. as a table, we had filets and surf and turf specials. so. freaking. good. i seriously think the filet is one of the best in dallas i've had next to dakotas and bobs. our servers david and rock treated us like family. they served us a chocolate ganache fondue on the house and welcomed us home for being first time guests. if you enjoy hospitality, dining out and food comas go here!!!!!!!

we celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary with dinner and dessert. our server michael is top notch and treated us like royalty. the appetizer he recommended (crab cakes) was by far the best we have had anywhere. the poke was out of this world. the sea bass and filet oscar were superb and michael's wine pairing suggestions were on point. truly an exceptional experience made more special by such excellent service. we will be back!

this is the best steakhouse i’ve ever been to. period. now, i haven’t been to many other high-end steakhouses but the ones i have been to must hope to grow up to be like al biernat’s. i think it’s very appropriate that their steaks come on a plate all their own. when you craft a steak like they do you don’t want to distract from it by putting much else on that plate. last time i had a filet and i could literally cut it with my fork. i know this because i actually did cut it with my fork just for fun! om’s steak was b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l, just perfect! i had the massive cut of medium rare prime rib. i’m certainly glad the weight of the prime rib was not listed on the menu. it was massive, the size of a third graders back pack. and when the staff came by they mused “oh that’s small”. really?!?!?! it was the best prime rib i have had the pleasure to eat, ever from anywhere. i’m so glad that it is flawless because i’m still eating the leftovers. and happily eating the leftovers i might add. the sides were meh. both times. ok, so sides are not their specialty, i forgive them because their steaks are so perfect. i’m with you om, maybe we just didn’t pick their side specialty. we’ll try again on the sides next time!
