late night eats. al basha is located in kits and they are open until 4 am every night. place is clean and the food is well prepared and seasoned. all the condiments are chopped uniformly and the sauces are tasty. prices are probably about a dollar higher than a typical shawarma joint but based on thelatehours, quality and neighborhood it makes sense.

hits the spot after alatenight out on the town...

as usual i avoid the spam like beef and lamb at donair joints, so can only speak of the great chicken plate i had. thelatehours are a blessing as well.

i love how this place is opened till 3 am, great place to come for alatenight bite. the service was good but the food was pretty standard in my opinion. i have definitely had better plates but i do appreciate al basha's hours (:

living in kits, there are three options forlatenight eats when i’m stumbling home from the bar. the closest to me is uncle fatih’s which is open until 3 am on weekends. many a drunken slice of pizza has been eaten here. if i’m really drunk, i’ll sometimes stumble as far as the 24/7 macdonalds (always my number one choice when inebriated). but sometimes if the mood if just right (or if i’ve been drinking next door at elwoods), al basha is my take out joint of choice, since it’s also open until the sweet, sweet hour of 3 am. plus the guys that work there are just so darned friendly!

pit of disease. i've eaten at al basha at several occasions, seemed like a good place to get real food in kitslatenight. i was turned off by the extremely unpleasant staff but came back for the good food.

during my last visit i was treated to the sight of a rat in the kitchen while they were preparing my meal. sufficient to say, i left immediately and have never since returned. guess there's really something different in their special sauce.

simply delicious. this is the best shawarma place in kits and maybe vancouver. i've definitely done my fair share of shawarma sampling and this place just has the most tender meat and they definitely aren't stingy with the portions. they are also super friendly and open late. i went here many a night while uplatestudying. i went so frequently that i think they started to recognize me. they gave me some free falafel once and that was super delicious as well. you should definitely give this place a try if you haven't already. and if you have, maybe try it again because i think you are missing out.

fresh & healthy & cheap. open until 3am everyday! they take debit / interac. excellent healthy option in vancouver and openlatenight! whole wheat roti with plenty of fresh veggies and chicken!!!! yummy.
