al aseellebaneserestaurant is consistently mentioned in any “top 10 middle eastern restaurants in sydney” lists… and we are going to put it to the test!. we tried kibbe naye (raw lamb!), vine leaves, lamb shank and mixed skewers on that day.

i have been coming here for years and it is still the bestlebanesefood in sydney. however, i have to say that the quality of the food has dropped a little lately with the meat skewers sometimes coming out tough and chewy. the biggest difference i have noticed though is the service - disappointingly this has dropped significantly with little attention to diners- who often have to wait for a while for a server to come around- once seated. this seems to be a big issue on very busy saturday nights and could easily be improved with a few more servers. otherwise a great and affordable meal.

definitely one of the bestlebaneserestaurants in sydney. especially the grilled chicken (not lemon one) and the desserts were all really good. all the usual things were also really good like the dips, fatoush and other grilled meats etc

came here with a friend last week. i ordered the vegetarian plate and had some of her chicken also which was delicious! i couldn’t stop eating! i loved everything on my plate, some of the bestlebanesefood i’ve tried. the service was good, good vibe. seating is a little close together and it’s a bit too bright but other than that i enjoyed it and am looking forward to eating there again.

this wasn't my first time eatinglebanesefood and by far it is the worst food i have eaten. the plating of the food is super sloppy, i don't want to even say what it reminds me of. tastes like frozen food. i would be better of going to woolies and buying something out of the dip section.

we ordered the baba ganoush, hommus w/ pine nuts, falafel, fattoush salad, mince rice and mixed skewers for 6 people. this was plenty of food and we actually managed to finish it all :)

quality: the dips were excellent and the baba ganoush had a characteristic smokiness which was superb. the fattoush salad was possibly a bit overdressed but still quite crisp. falafels were crispy. skewers were chicken, lamb and lamb kafta, all very nice. also, 80% of our order was gluten free surprisingly which pleased one member of our group.

service: very good service for a busy thursday lunch. thankfully we had a booking as there were many patrons despite being mid week. waiters were all very polite.

value: very good quality but the price is still relative expensive. $36 for 6 skewers seemed a bit steep. dips were well priced though given the bread is free and bottomless. make sure you don't fall into the trap of the $40 pp banquet. the volume of food is impossible to consume and you ultimately overspend. our total order as listed about came out at about $28 pp which was much more reasonable.

overall: delicious authenticlebanesefood at a reasonable price. perfect for a nice group dinner out to celebrate an occasion.

like many regular reviewers here, i could not see past the atrocious service here. if you want to experience nonsensical service, please come here.

al aseel is alebaneserestaurant in greenacre which is popular for their selection of dips and grilled meats. the spacious restaurant is minimally decorated with dark wallpaper and furniture. the service crew is all-male.

i asked for table-water which never came but the table next to and in front of me received theirs. the crew was also rude and impatient for shouting at me when i sat on a wrong table. well, you could have bring me to the seat directly.

i ordered four dips and a grilled chicken thigh fillet a few nights ago. first, the pita, which was placed on every table, was fly-friendly and i had to sway them away. the dips (hummus, labne & garlic, baba ghanouj) obviously were not prepared fresh like kepos and the cheese-like baba became soggy and milky. otherwise i liked the garlic and smoky hummus. for the grilled chicken thigh, the meat weren’t fresh and there was very strong gamey undercurrent despite its marinate.

located on waterloo road, thislebaneserestaurant was busy with different dining groups of families, friends, and couples. at first glance it doesn't scream out that it is anything too special but once you start eating, you won't be able to stop. the service is pretty good.

we shared a fattoush salad, hommos with mincemeat & chicken lemon garlic. there is complimentary pickled vegetables. the salad has infused flavours from the dressing of pomegranate and lemon that were amazing with the crunchy vegetables and the crispylebanesebread. absolutely loved the hommos as lots of bread on the table to mop that up with. the mincemeat made it more filling and added a lovely hot element to the dish. the chicken pieces were lovely and the creamy lemon garlic sauce is divine.

if you're in the area, it is worth a visit and there are heaps of sweet and desserts stored in close proximity including ashta laziza. that's definitely worth trying too.

al aseel has been recommended to us by several people so we decided to give it a shot.

we ordered the fried eggplant, dip platter, mixed grill platter, hot chips , fattoush salad and the chicken & lamb mixed shwarma. the food all all delicious with the hommous, babaganoush, fattoush, eggplant and mixed grill platter all disappearing so quickly i hardly had a change to take photos. we washed it down with hot cinnamonlebanesetea and orange juice. our meals were served with pickled chill, cucumber, radish & olives as well aslebanesebread. service was good and swift with enough staff on the floor that it never too long to get someone's attention. a stand out was hani(?) who showed us the al aseel olive oil and had a chat with us about their food.

we left full and satisfied and with little containers of turkish delight placed ready to buy at the register. we wanted to have dessert but we're just so stuffed we couldn't manage it.

the cost for 5 adults and 2 children with drinks and ample food was about $125

there was ample seating for large tables, they take bookings, have high chairs and were very prepared.

will definitely be returning.

al aseel always provides me with a fine tastinglebanesefeast. the ambiance is great, attributed to the modern, middle eastern decor.
the food is what brings me here time and time again. my favourite combinations are the chicken lemon garlic or chicken chilli lemon garlic with fattoush salad, and you can also incorporate the mixed dips to add to the flavour explosion!
the complimentary baklavas don't hurt one bit either 👌🏼

very yummylebanesefood. the al aseel mixed plate was very enjoyable. tasty meats and good dips. some of the chicken was a bit dry though. enjoyed the salads, perhaps some of the bestlebanesesalads i've had. they are currently running the restaurant out of the function room while they renovate next door. the service is quite bad at the moment, since perhaps the renovations are making things more difficult for them. many orders are taking a very long time to come out. probably would be better to go after all the work is completed.

i would give you 0 if i could for the atrocious service my friends and i received at your restaurant yesterday. it's a good thing the food tastes good because your service is considerably sub par.

last night at the greenacre store, my plate of food didn't arrive. we addressed it with one waiter who never got back to us, then with the waitress who took my order who was incredibly rude and told me i ordered what had arrived (3 plates of food for four people) i advised her of what i actually did order and she then was very short and walked off in a huff and started bitching about me to other staff members.

we then had to ask another waiter what was happening with the additional plate of food and he was kind enough to get back to me to advise me that my plate was coming out next. the same waitress came out and practically shoved the plate onto the table. thankfully the food was delicious, however i was introducing my friends tolebanesefood for the first time and the atrocious service put a dampener on our evening. i will not be coming back here anytime soon and i will stop recommending your restaurant to my friends.

the food here came out almost as quickly as the speed at which it was devoured. the al alseel fattoush salad had a great crunch from the fried bread chips in it, the creamy sauce of the lamb dumplings paired well with the flavoured accompanying rice, but the real standout was the skewer plate - where all meats were juicy, flavoursome and tender. although the garlic sauce was no el jannah's, it was still scooped up quickly with the complimentarylebanesebread. an altogether enjoyable dinner
