absolute thai probably is one of the best places in chennai which serves thai food. it is in cenotaph road and has a valet parking. the restaurant is in ground floor. that building also has few other restaurants.

been here with family on a weekend for lunch. the restaurant has pretty nice ambience with quirky lighting. it has very comfortable seats. the service is quick and responsive.

food was overall very satisfactory. order - prawn tempura, vegetarian spring roll, chicken satay, chicken dimsum, vegetarian stir fry and garlic fried rice.

prawn melted in the mouth and extremely crispy. dim sums were well prepared, soft and had lot of texture. fried rice with stir vegetables was a very good combination.

amazing thai food. didn't expect it to be this good! loved the place, can't believe i haven't tried it until now. will be definitely going back.

service was great when early in the evening faded as more guest showed up.

we did love the food items, the items recommended by staff were great. the portions were good enough to share. but over all food was a bit greasy. (it could be what we ordered but just an observation).

get very noisy and smelly as the tables gets filled up. should do something about that.

justifying it's name, it sure was an absolute thai cuisine ❤️ totally fell in love with the food.😍 every dish was so authentic and tasty. the must try are the starters and the tom yum soup🤩 the soup was too good! definitely worth a try. the ambience was too calming. i found it pricey though. overall a 5/5 for the food and taste! cost wise i would say a 3/5.

absolute thai had been on my wish list for a really long time, finally got the chance to go there! the moment you enter the restaurant this sense of calmness envelopes you, the music and the aroma of lemongrass come together and create this feeling. 10/10 for ambience! we ordered phad khimao and bai kripao gai kai. the food was great, not spicy at all. the minced meat gravy in the second dish tasted amazing! for desserts we visited cafe de paris, which is located in the same complex, and they serve their dishes in absolute thai!

was absolutely authentic !! had the tom yum soup and rice and chicken dish ! both were really great !! overall had a great experience! they are also coming up with a cafe looks real neat !

never really ventured into thai domain in this part is the country ever before. the place looked promising and wore a handsome report card on zomato too. the time was right to take the plunge tonight.
found only one flaw and im listing it first this time. the time taken for preparation was quite a bit...
once the food arrived, there was no stopping me and i begun my devouring session.
ordered spicy thai rice, prawn red curry, mixed pad thai.
great flavors and good looking food to say the least.
bloody good taste and bloody good money spent!
my must visit stop every time in chennai!

my mom is a huge critic and loves thai food .so i wanted to take her someplace nice for dinner. the food , staff and ambience made her and my experience really amazing . she loved it so much . definitely a must try for all thai food fanatics

i wanted to try this place for a longer time and here we are finally 😍 started off with thai platter (not sure with the name ) the prawns and money bags i loved much personally . nicely cooked and soft . next was pandan chicken very juicy and had a succulent flavour along wit the bay leaf . a must try 😬🤩 and sushi obviously the salmon one it was okayish . and finally the pad thai noodles kind which was really yummy and spicy 🌶 😍 the waiters wer really good in the speedy service and great job guys 👍🏻

loved the overall experience!
pros -
portions, taste, service, help with food selection.
cons -
waited for almost 15 mins for them to tell us their cold mango drink wasn't available, post suggesting the same while ordering.

had the crispy lotus stem, thai red chilli noodles and green curry with steamed rice (add on).
portions were enough for 3 good eaters.
all the dishes tasted really good but the noodles and starter were extremely spicy. maybe coz of the raw pepper bunch we found, which added an overwhelming kinda raw spice to the dishes. otherwise, a great dinner. neat ambience.
