brisbanes best restaurant. i have been to brent's on 3 occasions now... all 3 times i have gone with the gourmand menu as it is seriously the best in brisbane! this is hands-down one of brisbane's best hidden gems. there is not one other restaurant that i recommend more than this for a special occasion - if only i could afford to eat here every week! the price is well worth it, and i have always been very impressed by the impeccable service from staff. i can't wait to eat there again =)

sensational. there are alot of places in brisbane that are all talk and no action. brents is certainly not one of them!!
hidden away in a gorgeous house setting brents creates a stunning atmosphere of class and elegance, without being pretentious. and quite frankly, they are well within their rights to be.
i attended christmas eve and had the romantic package.
it was 8 courses of pure culinary sensation!! the waitress was friendly and polite and the food was bought out at just the right times. i could rave on and on about the food it was complete perfection. every bite almost exploded with flavour in your mouth, it certainly was an experience.
the goats cheese entree was simply stunning. desert was simply sensational! we easily spent 3 hours there enjoying the food, wine and atmosphere was a perfect evening. i would happy rate them my number 1 brisbane restaurant. you will not be disappointed.

fine dining alright!. faultless food. faultless service. faultless evening. my evening enjoying the delights of the 'romance' menu was made all the more special by the friendly service of the attentive bonny, who did an excellent and effortless job of explaining each sophisticated dish, the textural elements as well as the ingredients and what surprises might lurk behind each dish. second best meal i've had in the last decade, bettered only in mexico last year at the 5 star dining room of the hilton los carbos.
very, very good.
oh, awesome red with the meal as well.

what an experience!!. wow! i was lucky enough to be able to book a table at this wonderful suburban restaurant a day before my partners birthday and i couldn't thank that luck enough! i could just go on and on and on about this restaurant but that would probably take forever! this place is amazing, from the feel of the place, to the service to the food, to the moment you walk out those doors..... omg! it is definitely fine dining at it's peak! i recommend this to everyone! trust me you will not be disappointed!!!!

love, love, love. i think i need to declare brent's as my favourite restaurant in brisbane. we have been about 10 times in total now, including christmas day lunch - it was amazing. the owner is very dedicated and hard working, and the staff are always amazingly attentive and dedicated. if you're looking for a venue for a special occasion that you can always count on for consistency in terms of food, service and value for money (they are byo, although also have an impressive wine list), brent's is the place to be!

best food i've had in brisbane! had a degustation menu here with wine. was pretty expensive but well worth it. the waitress we had was the only negative in the whole night. not very friendly and seemed vague. still the best food!

but whilst the setting may be simple, the food carries a depth of flavour and sophistication the likes of which we have struggled to find elsewhere. tempted by the degustation menu, we strayed from the path and decided to create a small banquet of our own. the waitress (friendly and confident) took our orders and shortly returned to set our table from scratch based on what we'd ordered - a nice touch compared to others which simply remove redundant cutlery. she returned shortly after w

superb. we ate at brent's twice and enjoyed it very much on both occasions. this time it was a 6 coure dinner with matching wines. the food was superb and went exceptionally well with the wines. staff are very attentive and add to the pleasurable experience. make sure you check out the loo too.

exquisite dining experience , the only downfalls were the fact they charged for a palate cleanser as opposed to it being a compliment for their food and when i requested a martini the only vodka they had was smirnoff red which i thought was a little low rent for the experience of this restraunt and it's quality.

best in brisbane?. would have to say that this would be at the top of the list for restaurants in brisbane. the service was fantastic. the wait staff were extremely helpful with the wine list and also gave us a sample of the wines they recommended prior to taking our order.
the food was brilliant. the flavour and presentation of each dish was spot on.
will definitely be back, and will try their degustation menu!

french food in bne. we took our two young boys to brents last week after hearing some good comments about this restaurant.... and what can i say.... the food were great! the service was good, they even prepare the kids meal for my two boys which they love it and finished all (not fish and chips, they were proper restaurant quality food), we tried their famous "wild mushroom cappuccino, truffle oil & prosciutto dust" to start and it was great! then we had "spanner crab, green apple granita, chive crème fraiche & baby herb" and "citrus cured salmon, lobster, cucumber, citrus jam, compressed melon & lemon oil" for entree.... the snapper crab dish was so refresh, some many favours in one dish and i guess this is what french food is famous for.
for main we had "crispy confit duck, butternut pumpkin, lemon curd & liquorice wafer" and "market fish of the day", and with no surprise, they were great, you really appreciate from the presentation of the dish to the flavour of the food....
by this time, we were so full that we must miss out the dessert this time. we thought we will leave something out so we have an excuse to come back again!

a divine experience. have been the this restaurant several times and had always had an amazing experience. starting from a waiter politely greeting you at the door, to delivering you to intimate, relaxed surroundings, the wait staff have always been excellent and well versed in the menu on offer.

highlights for me have to be :

- homemade duck liver pate, port syrup & toasted brioche, it just melts in the mouth

- spanner crab, green apple granita, chive crème fraiche & baby herb, a delicate entree with well matched flavours

- any special with a seafood bisque

- beef cheeks, rich, soft beef

- their divine selection of cheeses and homemade lavosh

and, of course, their brand new addition to the dessert menu, black forest floor - enough for 2 (although my husband has declared he's not sharing next time), an incredible creation of dark chocolate and other amazing ingredients to create the effect of a forest floor on a marble slab - even if you don't fancy it, get the wiater to describe how they've created it, that'll be an experience in itself.

ok, so i need to stop now as i realise that i sound like their marketing department ....

top marks, all around :-)
