cooking your own koreanbbqcan be a messy business sometimes when the charcoal smell penetrates your hair or clothes and lingers for days. not a problem at the enormous 678 koreanbbqeastwood outlet with their state-of-the-art extractor fans, the only things linger on are the fun memories and unique taste of classic korean dishes.

awesome authentic korean bbq, awesome staff and one of the best koreanbbqthat i've been so far. the place is kinda small but they give excellent services. the meat quality is excellent, the beef has a lot of marbled on the beef and it just melts in your mouth. pork belly is also recommended, it taste really good quality meats overall.

i would recommend to come for lunch/dinner and try this place!

i love a goodbbqand whenever anyone invites me to koreanbbqi get excited. i think it's because there are so many different types of meat, a variety of flavours and the great vibrancy of a restaurant where everyone is laughing and conversing over their own littlebbqand that what you get at 678. we cooked up our wagyu blade and cube cuts. i’d like to think it had to be my cooking (even though i let someone else do most of it) but the meat was tender and sides added that little extra element expected in a meal. the dumplings and seafood pancake were just as nice and complimented the meat options perfectly. if you are having a feast then make sure you also grab the sizzling stone pot - a delicious mix of noodle, spice and broth. this place has a restaurant in the city and i will be sure to give it a visit as well. this eastwood version has heaps of room, although your best bet for a park would be on the street as the car park can get busy.

678 koreanbbqhas amazing quality of food. the cuts are generous and nicely marbled. my favourite dish is the korean beef tartare with the raw egg & julienned pears. the only limitation is the side dishes, often kbbq places have a variety of side dishes, however 678 are quite limited to only a few such as kim chi & sweet potato.

absolutely favourite kbbq place, especially this 678 in eastwood. their intercostal is so juicy and delicious, can’t get over it. that spring onion and bean sprouts salad is a great complimentary dish forbbqmeat. 10/10!

finally came here after hearing good reviews from friends. we heard there’s always a long queue so we went late (around 8-8:30pm) on a weeknight and didn’t really have to wait. the table is all laid out with side dishes by the time they brought us to our table. i like how they line the edge of thebbqwith half egg and half cheesey corn. the marinated beef rib and pork cheek were my favourite cuts of meat.

said to be open until 11pm on a sunday, was asked to leave upon entering at 10pm. it's disappointing considering the food was above average compared to other koreanbbqjoints. customer service consistently bad.

such an authentic koreanbbqexperience. a great range of different meats and cuts, and 4 signature wagyu dishes. the soy marinated skirt and short ribs were also a hit. the seafood pancake was also amazing. great night out, big restaurant with a great atmosphere as well.

overrated - very expensive. though the meats tasted ok, the came in very small portions. at this price range there are plenty alternative koreanbbqrestaurants. the service was also lack lustre - the waiters took 15minutes to get us seated despite plenty of free tables. on cleaning tables these same staff are noisy as hell

this is a great place for a good koreanbbqfeed. i go to this spot quite often when my friend comes back to sydney and he wants some korean bbq.

meat is marinated really well here and prices are not too bad. service is what you expect from a koreanbbqplace.
overall the only pet peeves i have for it is
1. they don't have coat storage (some kbbq places have this)
2. meat does get burnt quite easily - in my opinion they don't rotate the cooking grill quick enough

the eastwood branch of this popular koreanbbqrestaurant is as busy as it's city counterpart. it's not surprising as the wide range of quality meats, fresh produce and charcoalbbqare a strong draw. ventilation is also excellent. aside from bbq, they also offer some stews and hotpots. the beef soybean paste soup (doenjang jiggae) was unexpectedly served with seafood (crab leg) as well. it was a bonus for me but those who abstain from seafood may need to take note as this isn't mentioned on the menu. the kimchi and pork jiggae was a bit too sour and probably needed a bit more time in the pot to take the edge off. great selection of banchan and an interesting one was the omelette that cooks on the side of yourbbqplate.

i had a draft review written but then zomato deleted it :”( so here’s a summary:

- gluten free meat since it’s given to you raw and you just cook it yourself. dipping sauces (except salt and maybe the chilli one) + side dishes (eg seafood pancake, kimchi) may have gluten and i avoided most of the non-raw food

- good service, even with the pull out chimney you’ll still get the smell ofbbqon you

- beef wagyu was the best. pork is a definite miss for me and not worth getting. cost around $240 for 6 ppl = $40/pp

overall: 3.5/5
gluten free options: 3.5/5
food taste: 4/5
ambience: 3.5/5
customer service: 3.5/5
pricing vs quality: 3/5

this venue offers a large variety of korean food, either forbbqor made-to-order dishes.
with large seating area, it can easily accommodate large groups.
favourite dishes: korean style pancake, bibimbap, spicy seafood ramen, cold buckwheat noodle, wagyu short rib (bbq) and more from thebbqmeat choices.

we arrived at around 5 so there were plenty of seats, but by 6 it was full so book if you don't want to wait. as soon as you enter, you see walls and of autographs and kpop paraphernalia, which was certainly interesting. the cuts of meat were of high quality, and it was nice that we could cook cheesy corn and eggs alongside the meat. the price was expensive but the food was very flavoursome and worth it. i really enjoyed the budae jjigae, it had the right amount of spice. the only downside is that there isn't a lot of banchan, which is understandable since this is abbqrestaurant.

678 is a koreanbbqrestaurant with two chains, in eastwood and in chinatown. they are known for having a selection of fresh premium meats such as wagyu beef, pork and chicken as well as noodles and rice dishes. we came here for lunch on a saturday keen to get ourbbqon. to start off with, we ordered the wagyu oyster blade and chuck tail flap. these were their most premium cuts of wagyu and so tender and delicious once cooked. the meat was heavily marbled and melted in your mouth.
