4 pines - keller door

great place. nice to have somewhere decent to eat and drink on the northern beaches at last. food is massive in serving size so it ends up asgoodvalue for money despite the price on the menu.drinks are great it's nice to support a local brewery. my favourite was the ginger beer.goodmix of old and young and casual dress code. easy to get to as it's directly opposite the ferry. in fact if you're going i recommend the ferry so you don't worry about parking and fit in a few drinks. i thought the service was good. definantly going back.

if you're aftergoodpub food and beer to wash it all down this is the place to go. it was packed on a friday night and hard to find a table. we eventually got one outside looking out to the beach. i was pretty hungry and chose the manly mega burger which was both mega and manly as the name suggests. paired with the pale ale and i was left very full and satisfied. hubby had the beef pie which was a generous portion. great food, beer and atmosphere.

beautiful setup, especially if you can get yourself a balcony table on a warm summer day/evening. service suffered during the peak hours (i think they need to have more staff on to cope) but the beers weregoodand what staff they had on were friendly and helpful.

the food, i found, was not asgoodas i'd been led to expect, but then; we didn't have the pizzas, and i've been told that those are a highlight of their menu.

a nice relaxed place for dinner and or drinks. was annoying that couldn't have upstairs beers downstairs in the restaurant or even take the beer down. but aside from that the food was good, the pie looked big but inside was about half filled (slight shame) but the gravy wasgoodaltho meat average and also lacking - twice as much potato. it's worth a try for sure.

i went in hoping for something fantastic looking at the rating (4.6/5) but though the place wasgoodi didn't get why it was rated so high.
to its credit though, the place was packed up even on a wednesday night. the food isgoodand so is the live music and the place doesn't burn a hole in your pocket which is a win.

it's a great spot, especially in the afternoon when the sun is setting in the west over the harbour. the food is pretty good, fairly standard "fancy" pub food but that's not really what you're there for. it's the excellent range of fantastic beers that's the reason for dropping in.

4 pines make some of the nicest beers in sydney and while they are widely available in bottle shops and on tap in a lot of other bars around the place, there is an awesome selection of special and seasonal beers generally only available at the bar in manly. for those not interested in beer, they have agoodselection of other drinks and i've never really had a complaint from anyone that i've been there for not being able to find something that want to drink.

the only issue i'd have is that it's not the biggest venue and as everyone else also wants to be there, finding a seat can sometimes be a problem. people are usually moving on reasonably regularly so just be prepared to have your first drink perched somewhere before a table becomes available.

i love love love this place .. trip advisor reviews by travelers revealed this place. we went all the way to manly just for this place, read about the fresh beer, so had to.
located within just 2mins walk from the ferry station, right up in front.
ambience was so lively cheerful and happy, the bar girl was so helpful.
we ordered our beers and yes the reviews were so true, so strong fresh that i could go there over and again. food is irrelevant when the beer is so good.goodnews was the pizza we ordered was also crisp fresh and great to taste.
so guys go to this place, amazing!!

couple of visits to 4 pines now and there isn't anything not to like. great vibe in the bar and balcony space, a batch of local brewings on tap and agoodquality selection of various foods. the mega burger is a beast but delicious all the way through. staff are friendly and helpful on the food or beer if you need it and with a bit of the harbour to look at thrown in, it's hard not to find yourself relaxing into it for a few hours. easy enjoyment.

the 4.5 is for the beer. all of it. the regular brews that are on tap here are excellent, and the specialty brews are mostly pretty fantastic too. the staff are reallygoodand they do a tremendous job in what's always a crowded, noisy establishment. the less said about the food, though, the better

i love everything about 4 pines - except how insanely crowded it gets sometimes. the beer is outstanding - especially the special brews and my personal fave is the hefeweizen.goodfood and ambience, they have quite a broad range of food from poutine (canadian delicacy 👌🏼) to seafood bouillabaisse to vege platters. i love 4 pines so much that i actually got their logo tattooed on my foot back in 2013! excellent place.

great beer, ok food. beer selection is verygoodwith the rotating taps and door specials. daily specials are on most days other than friday/saturday which is a shame. group of us had a range of dishes. burger was huge,goodbut not great. pie was the size of a salad bowl. poutine is just chips with cheese on top and some gravy not the squeaky cheese that poutine should have.

i love this place, it has reallygoodmicro-brews, and it is one of the 1st places i’ve considered trying beer from, and enjoying it. located in manly, this place is quite easy to miss, so look upwards when you think you are close to the area, and you will probably find it...

not friendly for those with food allergies or intolerances. we asked if we could swap a side of potato/spinach out of a dish as it contained garlic, which my husband can't eat. we first asked if chips could be substituted (no), then asked if a plain garden salad could be had( which they advertised as a side dish), again told no. the standard response was 'everything is portioned'. they were super unhelpful, so we went and spent our money at another manly restaurant instead. there's too manygoodoptions in the market to bother with places like this.
