4 pines - keller door

couple of visits to 4 pines now and there isn't anything not to like. great vibe in the bar and balcony space, a batch of local brewings on tap and a good quality selection of various foods. the mega burger is a beast but delicious all the way through. staff are friendly and helpful on the food or beer if you need it and with a bit of the harbour to look at thrown in, it's hard not to find yourself relaxing into it for a few hours. easy enjoyment.

great beers, the english pale ale is one of my favourite beers from sydney. great tasting room with amazing views and food. will make a habit of coming here every time i visit manly.

found this place through the zomato's 'nearby' feature. read the rave reviews and decided to check it out ourselves. we weren't disappointed! loved the ambience (great place to chill), fresh seafood, fantastic beers. anyone who is in manly should definitely give 4 pines a go! 👍🏼👍🏼

the 4.5 is for the beer. all of it. the regular brews that are on tap here are excellent, and the specialty brews are mostly pretty fantastic too. the staff are really good and they do a tremendous job in what's always a crowded, noisy establishment. the less said about the food, though, the better

best cider ever! perfect balance of sweet/crisp/refreshing. the only problem was by the time my food came out i was so full of cider i feel like i didn't fully appreciate it! but it was really delicious and i would definitely go back. get in early it gets very busy!

excellent food (and a lot of it), drinks and service. can't fault the place at all. good vibe, live music. best sunday afternoon chill out!!

came here for a late lunch after a swim at manly. comfy seating over looking the manly wharf. friendly service but we had to wait a while for food to arrive. the beef pie and cheesy chips were nice, although the pie was a bit too meaty for my liking. also tried their ginger beer (8.5 a glass) but did not find it particularly outstanding. overall found it a nice place to unwind and refill after a day at the beach.

i love everything about 4 pines - except how insanely crowded it gets sometimes. the beer is outstanding - especially the special brews and my personal fave is the hefeweizen. good food and ambience, they have quite a broad range of food from poutine (canadian delicacy 👌🏼) to seafood bouillabaisse to vege platters. i love 4 pines so much that i actually got their logo tattooed on my foot back in 2013! excellent place.

4 pines for many years has been my go-to pale ale brew. however, after my experience tonight i will no longer be asking for the beer at any local bars.

after a few local beers and pizzas i suggested we go to 4 pines for some locally brewed beers. i have been a local for many years and enjoyed visiting the venue numerous times. one of my friends, who brews and sells his own beer in england, did not particularly like one sample of beer from the beer tasting. fair enough right? not everybody loves every single beer. the staff member who reluctantly and frankly rudely served us was shocked to hear the comments of my friend, and quite clearly mumbled, "why don't you **** off then" and "well don't ******* drink it then", excellent customer service guys. soon after, (i'm sure after telling the 'shocking' news to another staff member, all 7 of us were kicked out. 

even if the overweight justin bieber and the other staff member (who i kindly asked why we were asked to leave after buying over $100 dollars of beer from and got no answer) were both having the shittiest monday ever, it does not excuse the disrespect and blatant rudeness shown to bar patrons. i was embarrassed that i brought guests to your establishment. great work 4 pines.

top place to hang out at manly. great beer. great customer service. great view. great crowd. many beers selection. try a sampler. nice musical and buzz.

great beer, ok food. beer selection is very good with the rotating taps and door specials. daily specials are on most days other than friday/saturday which is a shame. group of us had a range of dishes. burger was huge, good but not great. pie was the size of a salad bowl. poutine is just chips with cheese on top and some gravy not the squeaky cheese that poutine should have.

everything is right at 4 pines. the food is great for a pub fare (try the bouillabaise for something different) and, although not cheap, is well worth it. the place is never too crowded but never empty with live music 1-2 times per week, outdoor seating overlooking the wharf. personal favourite place in manly and beyond. beer: 5 core award winning beers available year round: pale ale, kolsch, stout, hefeweizen, esb + a cider an a ginger beer. rotating taps with seasonal beers with an on-premise new beer often coming every week and brewed to occassions ranging from oktoberfest to independence day. takeaway growlers available.

great beer, but the food is not fantastic given how well this kind of burgers n fries diner menu is done at comparable pubs for comparable prices.

delicious bouillabaisse. loved the bouillabaisse - it was full of fat scallops, salmon, prawns, mussels and a meaty portion of crab. the cheesy stout bread was delicious dipped in the thick soup. the lamb roast of the day wasn't so good. the lamb was overcooked and didn't taste so fresh. the roast potatoes and gravy were the best part of the dish.

what service?!. this pub is in a great location and being a beer lover i was excited about lunch.
after ordering for a table of six, one of the meals was forgotten. understandably this can happen, it's the resolution that is important. so after everyone had eaten and well over an hour from the initial order, i enquired about the forgotten meal and was informed with some contemptment that it would be a further 30mins.
i could think of quite a few solutions to make amends for a mistake on the staff behalf and none of them would have included the rude service that ensued.
