24/7 - the lalit ashok bangalore

so this was an unexpected visit on a sunday for dinner. the buffet spread looked very interesting but definitely could taste better.
the starters were nice and made fresh. special mention for the paneer and fish.
moving to themaincourse the dishes were quite ordinary. nothing stood out to make you want a second serving. the prawn preparation/ dish of the day was nice and also the tenderloin in black sauce. biryani quite average and so were the other indian dishes.
the desert section was a let down as the pastries had loads of variety but tasted quite ordinary. the staff also seemed quite disinterested except for one man who was trying hard to cater to about four tables.
over all an ordinary experience that lacked the five star feel.

we went for a brunch today and we were really disappointed with the brunch !! indian starters (live counter) for both veg and non- veg served stale super oily tasteless food, i complained as well but they didn't even check back...pasta and mongolian were another set of live counters with again below average taste... most of the spread we felt was stale and dessert section was very limited and sad with no good dessert to taste and all looked very stale... the cake they had there looked like a dummy cake 😂...maincourse was also average and here we come to an end to the brunch spread !! all in all it was a very below standard buffet !!!

not much of varieties in starters,maincourse and desserts as well. i only liked the pork fry and mutton curry in mains. nothing great in starters. desserts were not freshly baked. ambiance is average, we set outside by the pool, so had to walk back and fourth to get the food.

i celebrated turning 24 at the lalit ashok. we had a buffet lunch. the snacks were limited. however the taste was upto the mark. themaincourse lacked in options and some of the items were just bland. however the highlight were the desserts, with a wide variety of items on offer. this being a 5 star restaurant the buffet cost was on the higher side, as expected.

we were there for saturday lunch buffet . some private function was going on. service way to slow for the star hotel standard. nobody to clear the plates, nor to refill water. dessert spoons missing. not sure if there were any live counters . nobody to guide or explain. no ice creams or drinks with the buffet. the watermelon juice we ordered and paid separately came after 25 mins wait. the bill took another 30 mins. this is the standard of service provided for the price we paid. now the buffet part . the cream of broccoli was watery. there were enough starters but the salmon on the sushi and maki looked dried . not fresh enough . as for themaincourse , very little variety for non veg lovers . dessert was okish . mostly indian sweetmeats. no fresh fruits nor drinks . the bill came to 4075 ++ for a watermelon juice and 2 adults buffet .
total waste of money . will not return .

walked in here for brunch on sunday afternoon. they have the brunch served in the poolside garden.
since i had never been to any buffet restaurant with the spread served in the garden, i was super excited and trust me it was worth the expectation.
there was a live performance happening and with all the classics being played which was a cherry on the top.
coming to the food, there were a few live counters serving chats, pasta, chinese, few south indian delicacies, fries and tava fried veggies and meat.
in the drinks they had wine, beer, scotch, aerated beverages and fruit juices.
themaincourse spread was also good with two dessert being served along.
everything on the spread tasted heavenly.
there was a clown and a guy making fancy shapes from the balloon for the entertainment of the kids and a tattoo artist.
overall i had an amazing experience, would definitely recommend and would also like to visit again

we visited this place on our anniversary for dinner. it was weekday hence hardly any crowd. ambiance is just ok. you don't feel like you are at a star restaurant. firstly there were hardly any staff to guide us there. apparently they had a live burger counter where the chef was not around so we did not know who to ask for. the starters are served to the table which was average. there was some veg kebab which was undercooked. mocktail was really good. their dahi vada below average, chaat had to be assembled by ourselves which had very bland chutney which did not give the taste of chaat. being a vegetarian, very few options available. their lasagna was really good. most of italian and chinese starters were not like wow. they were very average. believe me we just had one dal, onemaincourse paneer dish with the rotis. dal makhani was really tasty. paneer was not even worth a mention. the salad options were average as well. absolutely not worth the price you pay. you can actually get great food outside for the price you pay here.

had been there for lunch (buffet). nice ambiance. we have the option to sit by the pool outside or in the air-conditioned space inside. there are great varieties of starters and desserts to choose from, however there are very few options in themaincourse. the food tasted good, but the pizza was bland. overall, a good experience.

this hotel is easily approachable and lot of parking place,, so good place for accessibility and parking, being in center of city. it's a place for nature loving people. they have huge place  and option of sitting in open  or veranda over seeing swimming pool and also have indoor. we decided to sit in varanda/ where we can see large lush green park and swimming pool and cool breeze welcoming you.  sunday brunch is huge  with starters counter in open lawn,maincourse and desserts in indoor hall.  they serve starters at table. staff were good to serve with fish chicken and mutton starters at table  with soup. they also have kids corner for some special milk shakes and smiley cutlet for kids to have fun. live music and a person for entertaining kids by giving balloons of different shape and for adults reading out cards. that's for hospitality.   spread was really big for starters, with lot of option for chats,rolls and paav bhaji.  hey have pizza and pasta counter.  taste was good and soup tasted really nice. maincourse has comparatively less options but that 's ok given number of option for starters. mutton  biryani was good. desserts has again large spread, ranging from pastries,moose, and indian sweets.   hospitality was really nice and staff served  tea after we finished lunch .

we visited monday evening with team.
well, this place is not a restaurant but a cherishing experience in itself. it has strategically isolated itself and maintained the solitude as aligned with theme of romance and mystique.

ambience :- the place gets everything right the decor is relaxed chic luxury, romantic, intensely private and serene. depends which area you choose whole place is divided into many diff.

we are always on the lookout for new experience.
be it with our food, ambience or drinks.

food :- they have excellent open buffet. we started with some assorted fresh bread butter, than enjoyed the fresh vello tomato salad, egg and tuna salad, than we tasted few starters. than we have somemaincourse with dal , mix veg, with different kind of pickles. we tasted biryani as well and finish with some fabulous desserts like strawberry roll, sweet perval and opera cake. all food are touch my heart

drinks :- we didn't ordered many drinks.
we tried orange blossom, basil fusion and oko fusion. drinks as well are nice balance of mixing.

service :- this is the most important part for me.
i really appreciate mr. ajay verma. he is very attentive, friendly , polite and very courteously.
he explained about all food and drinks such a great words.

if you really wanted to waste your money, go to this place. throwing your money in dustbin or paying for buffet in this restaurant both are same. i took my cousin to this restaurant for a lunch buffet, not even a single dish was tasty. such a worst food i have ever tasted in star hotel. not even deserve a single star.  i have no idea where did they find the mocktail, i should have run after drinking it. i never recommend this restaurant even to my enemy if he is going to eat food there. waste of time and money.

i asked the chef to taste the fish he cooked, which was actually smelling very bad or malodorous. no sea food option, live starter was really disgusting. there was amaincourse called briyani, if you eat you wont feel it is briyani, the only way for you to identify it by reading it in the label. 

food really sucks.

we ordered for 2 chicken & corn chowder soup [475each] and 2 tranche of norwegian salmon[1350(one)] , there was only one salmon available so we ordered for the lalit club sandwich[850] and then the soup arrived it was irrelevant to the soup which it was listed in the menu it was like a tomato soup and it tasted the same like it was watery tomato soup and it didn’t have any chicken pieces in it so we sent it back he bought the same soup with chicken pieces in it i wish i had taken a photo of it to share it with you guys and then salmon arrived which was good i have no complaints on it but the club sandwich it was cold and it had no lettuce and the chicken was not grill chicken it was mentioned in the menu that it is grilled chicken but it had some small chicken pieces in it after all this we asked for the bill and i had the zomato gold 1+1 it is clearly listed that the 2nd highest amount on the bill can be applied so i asked him to apply it on the club sandwich since it was 2nd highest in the bill but they say no sir you can’t apply you didn’t order themaincourse first u ordered soup and thenmaincourse of course i have to drink the soup first i can’t drink it after i eat themaincourse what dumb people are working in this restaurant. please guys don’t visit this 24/7 cafe you will have the worst experience we just paid the bill amount and left from that place never gonna go there again one of the worst restaurant in the hotel.

fine dining. one of the best buffets i have had in bangalore. worth the price. exotic starters, themaincourse and dessert too. nothing to complain about. calm ambience and friendly staff.

the only thing that was good was the salad section. the starters, grills, pizza, andmaincourse were pretty average. so was the live music.

desserts were okay, but they were too late. the experience had already been ruined.

disappointed. not worth the money. not recommended.

terrible food. sorry, but there are no better words to describe it. we went for dinner, out of the 4 live starters, 2 (fish & mushroom) were bearable. in themaincourse, the prawns biryani clearly lacked prawns, but at least the rice was tasty. rest everything was stale. two people in our group fell sick the next morning. it takes the servers at least 15 minutes to get breads to go with the food. dessert, especially the cakes tasted like they were at least 2 days old.
