housed within a converted shophouse in paddington's boutique shopping street, 10 williamstreetis one of the most well-loved bar in sydney. the unpretentious bar features simple plain white walls, hanging light bulbs and a large blackboard of its wine lists.

there was no firecrackers cheering about its menu too. i ordered three dishes. first, the pumpkin with pipian verde and seeds was simple though monotony took over the palate and the pumpkin became a tedious chore to complete.

second, the ceviche kingfish with yuzu and kohlrabi was neither a sashimi nor a latin-style ceviche. the yuzu and kohlrabi did not perform well to enhance the unexciting kingfish.

third, i ordered brussels sprouts with yolk, pear and vin cotto. it did not come after several mix ups and reminders. i could not wait and i left.

food was not atrocious but they were too ordinary for a hatted restaurant. service was courteous but extremely busy and forgetful on a weeknight.

this place is amazing!! the food is exceptional and so is the service. if i could give this place a 10 out of 5, i would. we sat in the upstairs area which was much quieter than downstairs no complaints from us and the music was on point too. thanks 10 williamstreetwe will be back!

i had been to a few wine bars before 10 williamstreetsuch as nearby love tilly devine and felt they were all a bit over-priced, snobbish and pretentious. they place was tiny and didn't bookings.  we couldn't get in straightway so left phone number and waited in the nearby pub. i found the menu confusing - i knew it was italian but could also find hints of japanese. the wine list was really extensive from various regions in italy but very pricey! we mainly wanted to experience the wines so only ordered a few snacks like pretzels.  we had two reds and one while, all very nice.  but wary of the costs, it's not kind of place you could spend all night, drink and eat to your hearts content.  we experienced it, enjoyed it, and moved on.

10 williamstreetlike acme (now timeout’s winner of restaurant of the year), lumi is a dining hotspot that we’ve been meaning to pop into and its about time we got acquainted with daniel pepperrell’s food and this little italian restaurant/wine bar  in williamstreetpaddington. there’s no reservations to be had, we popped in at 8pm and were told that there’ll be an hour wait – good thing that paddo inn’s across the road.

we went to 10 williamstreetfor a few little nibbles and glass of wines before moving on to a different place for dinner later on. we were greeted by a very friendly staff. the venue was small which gave a nice cosy feeling. we ordered the botega whipped cod roe with german pretzel and beef tartar. both dishes were very flavoursome and light. we were recommended the 3 pinot wine which also was a great choice.

the wine bar 10 williamstreetis the kind of place that looks like chefs from other restaurants come to hang out. in fact, when i was there during my australian vacation, what looked like chef friends sauntered up to the bar and was warmly greeted by chef daniel pepperell. from the tiny bar on william right off oxfordstreetin the upscale paddington neighborhood, pepperell has been generating buzz among foodies for his small plates that use fresh, unusual ingredients in a simple, italian/mediterranean style. pepperell, who has worked at places such as attica in melbourne and momofuku ssam bar in new york, creates a limited menu to match the eclectic collection of wine. light meal after i ordered a glass of australian chardonnay, i started with a crudo of scallop, lardo and mangosteen (aus $22 or $20.50). i hardly find fresh mangosteen back in the states, but it’s probably easy to find in australia, with its close proximity to southeast asia. the mangosteen provided a nice swee

i have been wanting to go to 10 williamstreetfor such a long time and now that i've been i am disappointed. they had good wines but the food wasn't anything special. i found the food quite salty, the beef carpaccio was tasty but overall i don't think i will go back, especially when you have places like buffalo dining 10 mins away.

the shop front of  10 williamstreet is narrow, so narrow that you might have to search for it like platform 9 and 3/4. but unlike the magical world of harry potter, the other side isn't any wider. the room is lit with warm yellow naked light bulbs. a huge blackboard listing the wine menu mounts the wall on the left and bottles of wine decorate the bar. our waiter gives us the option to sit at the tables below but we chose to sit at the bar for fear of bumping elbows with our neighbours. the menu is short and simple. a selection of antipasti to start and around four mains to choose from. the bartender explained the items on the menu and suggested us some wine. sitting at the bar proved to be a good choice as the service was attentive. we ordered the charred octopus, crudo di bonito and orecchiette cime di rapa. the octopus was served with kipfler potatoes, dried kale and lots of olive oil. the octopus was charred and amazingly tender. the bonito was served raw with ricotta, finger lim

best bday venue. the guys at 10 williamstreetkindly reserved a table for 10 of us despite a "no reservations" policy.. and all 10 of us were raving about the place after. food was superb, wines were different but tasty, but the highlight was the service. everything was perfect, from our glasses always being topped up, to advice on wines, and service that was attentive but not intrusive. i cannot rave highly enough about the experience we had, particularly as i'm a keen foodie and have eaten at most of sydney's best.

10 williamstreetis a wine bar that boasts a serious menu of italian eats in the fashion-centric william street. there's no signage at thestreetfront, nor inside, but you'll recognise the retro black tiled frontage with big glass windows opening up to cosy groups quaffing wine beneath blackboards proffering a healthy collection of wines. the first street-level floor of 10 williamstreetis more your small bar, with dim and intimate seating for small groups as well as a few seats at the bar. it's not any brighter u

there's no thought of "too much of a good thing" when the paradiso boys are concerned. just when you thought the clan couldn't get any sexier they pop into paddington with their new wine bar 10 william street- a marketing ploy to recall where you are heading after a few at the paddington inn? i think so… chances are you will need to wait for a table anyhow. if you thought that an extra venue for brothers enrico and giovanni 'johnny' paradiso and business partner marco ambrosino would mean better chances of getting at table, you'd be sorely mistaken. 10 williamstreetis even more jam-packed than fratelli paradiso though luckily because of speedy service and attentive staff, things can turn over quite quickly. the atmosphere at 10 williamstreetis very similar to the paradiso- dark, smoldering and european and i like it. there is just the right mix of what we love about the italians without the arrogant attitude that comes when asking for advice about the wine.
