the ambiance was nice but the service to order was slow. i think to improve/speed up the ordering process, it would be best to have two separate lines: one for drinks and one forfood+ others. currently, the cashier is also the bartender and so the wait to get to order is a bit bleh. after you order though, foodcomes out extra fast. i thought the flavors were incredible and very hearty - plenty to share. ordered the katsu curry, bulgogi bao, and kimchi fries. in hindsight, i could have done without the fries because there wasn’t anything special about it. the fries could use a little more salt and be crispier (i like fries to have good crunch) and the kimchi/white sauce on top didn’t really add much to the overall dish. the katsu was amazing: chicken cutlet was crispy, rice was cooked well, and curry was thick and flavorful. i ended up dipping the fries in the curry which saved it (lol). bao was a favorite: the buns were soft and moist, bulgogi was drenched in a sweet teriyaki type base plus drizzled with a mayo sauce. wonderful combination of flavors and textures even tho it erred a bit on the sweet side. overall, liked the place for having a great selection offoodfor a good price. paid about 50 bucks for three plates including kombucha drinks. perfect night out!
