zea rotisserie & bar

went recently for supper. had not been in a very long time. now remember why i had stayed away for so long. nothing on the menu appealed to me. ordered the ribeye figuring it was a safe bet. i was very wrong. worst cut of meat i have ever tried to eat. told the waiter who seemed very unconcerned. will never go back.

had lunch over the holidays and everything was good. my son really liked the roasted corn grits. korean tacos were also very good.

waited for 30 minutes while i watched a cashier eat pita bread behind the counter. disgusting and unprofessional.

all good. i have never had anything i did not like. i get the grits every time i go. no serious get the grits!

love!!!. i love love love this place!!! i don't get their much anymore! when i do, i want to eat everything!!! one of my favorite places!

asian almond shrimp!!!. ...nuff said

what's the big deal?. ok i gave this place a second try, i went about 5 years ago and was overwhelmed by the fact that if you want chicken you have to have a half of one. so instead i ordered a salad which had pine nuts in it, i'm allergic to nuts and nowhere on that menu did they say their was nuts on that plate! the only reason i went back this week was because a good friend was throwing her husband's surprise party there. she'd been planning this for a month had confirmed the number and made the reservation. she told people to get there an hour before them because they wouldn't start setting up the tables until guests were there. so people showed up at 6 and were informed they don't take reservations it was only a "suggestion" and they didn't have enough staff to set up our tables. we got to the restaurant around 6:30 and they had two tables set aside for the party of 23 and were waiting for others to finish their meal so that they could put other tables for the party. so we're all gathered between the bar and the foyer waiting. the birthday boy shows up at 7 and we all have to surprise him in the foyer. this is ridiculous! about 15 -20 mins later we're finally seated. they forget my drink out of all the rest. the waiter was ocd and just rips straw wrappers out of your hand before you've gotten to put it down on the table. the lemonade was too tart (five others at the table tasted it and agreed), which i had to explain to the waiter because i simply don't like it wasn't enough of a reason for my waiter. my husband and i order something to split, they bring me a plate with loose dirt all over it but oh it was only badly stained. when he finally brought me back a plate he brought me half a plate. the only thing i enjoyed out of the grilled trio were the ribs and then they were awesome they were just ok. my sister makes better corn grits than these. i won't be back for this overpriced subpar food.

first timer. heard a lot of good things so we had a reason to be in lafayette and went in for lunch. overall, i would say this was a pretty good experience. first of all, the grits are unbelievable. i almost (almost!) think they would be worth the trip on their own. i had the thai ribs and they were good but i probably would have like the traditional ones more. our party had the duck empanadas, very good, and catfish. the table next to us had the hummus and it looked fantastic. we will give it another try.

i do really like zeas i did think for sometime that it was slightly overrated but it has grown on me. all of the dishes i have had have always been very tasty and consistently good! i especially like the metateranian hummus and the chicken sandwich. i think what seperates zeas is its superior service. we did have an issue with our appetizer last time and they chef came out right away to apologize and it was removed from the bill i didn't ask for this but it said a lot. i will definitely be returning!

can't go wrong with corn grits, thai ribs and an ice cold cosmo!

enjoyable experience. my aunt and cousin came in from texas, and we decided to check out zea the day before valentines. service was great, but the food was a good b+. will be going back soon!

awesome!!!!. our family has a lot of march b-days, so we decided to get together and celebrate by having lunch at zeas. there were 11 of us, and sometimes with a lot of people things can get a little hectic when orderin. this was not the case on sat. our server was a young girl named callie and she was the best. she always had a smile on her face and answered all questions and was great w the kids. she made sure our glasses were never empty and we had everything we needed. our appatizers came out quickly, the duck empanadas. they went really fast. i had spinach salad w grilled chicken, delicious!! i ate til i was full and had plenty for supper. most of the people at our table had the duck w corn grits and dirty rice. everyone loved the food. we are looking forward to goin back soon.

consistently great! everything is delicious, even the drinks. well, the mojitos leave a little to be desired, but the margaritas, the bellinis are sooooo delicious, and all of the entrées are scrumptious! i love the almond chicken salad and the corn grits and the hummus and everyone loves the asian almond shrimp! just wonderful! customer service is perfect!

not a fan. i don't understand the attraction to this place. lived next door to one in new orleans and didn't find anything special at all about it. same goes for the one here. average at best.
