great venue. thefoodis always great here. the wood fired oven is amazing - in the winter, i love to drop in just to inhale the amazing aromas and enjoy a glass of wine.

service rocks, we love this place! the owner is always around, the staff is super polite and it's just a great place to eat.

the best bestfoodi have ever eaten has been at zanatas we live a mile away and go there a least twice weekly.

food is great. don't agree with other writers about "not kid friendly"...maybe depends on your kids. we take our kids to zanata about three times a week.
i would prefer if most people left their kids at home so we can have an enjoyable evening.
thefoodis always great! staff does a fine job. you can have a cheap date with pizza and salad or you can go all out and have great appetizers, steaks and fish. the new pasta dishes are good, too.
lunch is great value with a cup of soup and half a sandwich at nine bucks.
zanata serves sterling tea, it is my favorite.

crab dip subpar. pizza was okay.. just went last night and the ambience and the service were both very good. thefoodwas just okay. our waiter raved on the crab dip, but i thought it had too much melted cheese and not enough taste from the crab. the pizza was not bad, but definitely pretty small. i would recommend only two hungry people to a pizza.
all in all, i would try it again, but order more next time.

this is our go-to place in rockwall. the thing that i like most is the consistency offoodand service, which is always spot on. they cook everything in wood fired ovens. the blue crab dip and the spinach gorgonzola salad are must tries. best restaurant in rockwall, bar none.

incrediblefoodand atmosphere. dinner tonight was wonderful. buffalo was the special and was done perfect. great place to go for lunch and dinner.

me and my wife come here almost every week! we travel a lot and try a lot offoodall over the u.s and zanatas has topped our list! must try the three pigs pizza!

birthday party. hmm, not as good as i expected. 10 of us for a party. the appetizers were good. however, the entrees lacked favor. main issue is that after just a few minutes the pizza crust gets soggy..the steam get trapped and just kills the appeal and texture of the pizza. i rate thefooda b- and the pizza a c, however the service was good.

loved it!!!. my man took me here after a hard days work and i loved it!!! the wine is fabulous and thefoodis fantastic. we were able to eat and watch the game at the same time! it was the perfect ending to a perfect week!! if you are looking for a spot that is both romantic and low key with goodfoodand drinks, this is your destination!!!! love it love it love it!!!

oh and the vibe of the restaurant was absolutely perfect! can't wait to go back!!! worth the money!

oh my gosh! my husband and i did a last minute birthday dinner and man it was the best date i've ever been on. only a 15 min wait on a saturday night at 6:30 pm and the service andfoodwas amazing! i got the wood fire grill rosmary salmon and my husband got the pizza with pepperoni and jalopenos and we got the crab dip for an appetizer and we loved everything we got!!! i've never tasted salmon so good!!

a new favorite. as soon as you walk in the door it just feels good. the smells that fill the restaurant from the two wood burning ovens is intoxicating. it's quickly becoming a favorite in the dfw area.

the wait on the weekends can be long but grabbing a cocktail at the bar can help pass the time. there is not place to wait because the small bar fills up quickly.

my first thought when i heard about zanata was 'rockwall?' however, i do not think zanata could make it in dallas. the feel of restaurant on the town square, the work ethic of the staff consistently providing great service and the warm casual clientele could not all be found in dallas to create what the owners have created here in rockwall.

the bruschetta is simple and sweet. a single slice of fresh mozzarella and a roasted roma tomato with a balsamic reduction was perfect. the blue crab dip is their most popular appetizer and once you try you will know why. their standard pizza is the only one i have ordered because i just don't see the point in weighing down a pizza with all kinds of produce. still a solid fresh tasting pizza that won't disappoint. desserts are not their strong point. banana pudding came in a non-function and difficult jar. consisted of more meringue than banana pudding. that one dish was over shadowed by everything else.

service is always top notch. they will be slammed and your water glass is never empty. this evenings server was no different than the others, friendly and attentive.

they offer about ten reds and ten white wines and five craft beers on tap. they keep everything simple and straightforward from the decor, to thefoodand to the bar. the bar is a great seat as well, looking on to the kitchen .

this has become one of our favorite places to eat in rockwall...thefoodis consistently tasty and the service is friendly. faves include the chicken pesto pizza, the spinach and (loads of) gorgonzola salad, and the chicken and dumplings (not like mom made but delicious!). full bar--and the bar is the place for chatty, cheerful singles or couples. bringing a group? order the "tuscan board" and prepare to fight over the tasty combination of cheeses, salami, olives, roasted red peppers...yum! surprise--there is a decent restaurant in rockwall...and you can take the kids--maybe 8 and up (not a lot of floor space for strollers or high chairs).

this is a place the locals don't want people to know about. it has the bestfoodaround and everyone knows each other. very good place to just unwind and enjoy great people and food. when you come this place will be one of your top 10 places to go.

excellentfoodand service!. the service and atmosphere of zanata was excellent! the appetizers were extremely flavorful and excellent presentation. the hubbards pizza was extremely flavorful. if you like specialty pizza's this is a place to try!
