incredible food and atmosphere. dinner tonight was wonderful. buffalo was the special and was done perfect. great place to go for lunch and dinner.

me and my wife come here almost every week! we travel a lot and try a lot of food all over the u.s and zanatas has topped our list! must try the three pigs pizza!

fresh local ingredients... havent had a bad meal. killer pizza.

pizza and wine. incredible gourmet pizza, wonderful salads and terrific wine choices. we always set at the bar and chat with the staff and meet other locals. always consistantly great.

birthday party. hmm, not as good as i expected. 10 of us for a party. the appetizers were good. however, the entrees lacked favor. main issue is that after just a few minutes the pizza crust gets soggy..the steam get trapped and just kills the appeal and texture of the pizza. i rate the food a b- and the pizza a c, however the service was good.

quickly becoming our fav restaurant in the metroplex!!. you can't go wrong at zanata's!! atmosphere is top notch & everything we eat there is superb! haven't had a bad meal there, ever! if you have a special occasion they will reserve a table for you & give you special attention. kevin, the owner makes you feel as if you've stepped into his home and will make sure your drinks and meal are exactly as you ordered. best pizza pies around! how lucky we are to have a little slice of heaven right here in downtown rockwall!

wonderful place to meet "the gang"! everyone can find something they like... the salmon is always good, either as a special or off the menu, my husband usually gets the pizza which he raves about. drink specials are inventive and delish! i have eaten here at least ten times and have never been disappointed! always a fun atmosphere and attentive service, but none of the "attitude" that you get at soooo many places in the dfw area. appetizers are fabulous but i agree that the desserts are often forgettable... but then again i'm usually too full to order one anyway! you can certainly invite all the girls, or the couples dinner party or the family and never feel out of place! our four kids (very well behaved and epicurious!) have always been welcome and served graciously. we have been big fans since they first opened and just wish word hadn't gotten around because don't bother trying to go on a saturday night unless you have made reservations, which they do now take!

my boyfriend and i tried this place on a whim and boy am i glad we did! the service was out of this world. that alone would have brought us back. we tried the pizza, which was fabulous, and enjoyed the array of options at the bar. we will be going back often, well worth the price.

loved it!!!. my man took me here after a hard days work and i loved it!!! the wine is fabulous and the food is fantastic. we were able to eat and watch the game at the same time! it was the perfect ending to a perfect week!! if you are looking for a spot that is both romantic and low key with good food and drinks, this is your destination!!!! love it love it love it!!!

great food, great feel. this is a wonderful place for a meal with friends or family - warm, inviting, delicious food, and with real charm. love the big windows opening onto the old courthouse square under the big trees!

oh and the vibe of the restaurant was absolutely perfect! can't wait to go back!!! worth the money!

oh my gosh! my husband and i did a last minute birthday dinner and man it was the best date i've ever been on. only a 15 min wait on a saturday night at 6:30 pm and the service and food was amazing! i got the wood fire grill rosmary salmon and my husband got the pizza with pepperoni and jalopenos and we got the crab dip for an appetizer and we loved everything we got!!! i've never tasted salmon so good!!

a new favorite. as soon as you walk in the door it just feels good. the smells that fill the restaurant from the two wood burning ovens is intoxicating. it's quickly becoming a favorite in the dfw area.

the wait on the weekends can be long but grabbing a cocktail at the bar can help pass the time. there is not place to wait because the small bar fills up quickly.

my first thought when i heard about zanata was 'rockwall?' however, i do not think zanata could make it in dallas. the feel of restaurant on the town square, the work ethic of the staff consistently providing great service and the warm casual clientele could not all be found in dallas to create what the owners have created here in rockwall.

the bruschetta is simple and sweet. a single slice of fresh mozzarella and a roasted roma tomato with a balsamic reduction was perfect. the blue crab dip is their most popular appetizer and once you try you will know why. their standard pizza is the only one i have ordered because i just don't see the point in weighing down a pizza with all kinds of produce. still a solid fresh tasting pizza that won't disappoint. desserts are not their strong point. banana pudding came in a non-function and difficult jar. consisted of more meringue than banana pudding. that one dish was over shadowed by everything else.

service is always top notch. they will be slammed and your water glass is never empty. this evenings server was no different than the others, friendly and attentive.

they offer about ten reds and ten white wines and five craft beers on tap. they keep everything simple and straightforward from the decor, to the food and to the bar. the bar is a great seat as well, looking on to the kitchen .
