yang san park has been in chinatown for a couple of years. it's always a popular korean bbq restaurant. queues are always long if you come after 6pm. so to avoid the queue i would recommend to arrive early.
[ambience]🏠
as the shop itself has been there for a long time, the ambience is not as satisfying as other new restaurants. smoke is the biggest issue. and if it is a windy day, the smoke would be everywhere. very annoying and unhealthy.
the ground is kind of slippery as well. perhaps because of the oil and careless cleaning.
[service]💁
the service i thought was their highlight, however, i didn't experience what i've expected during my visit. all of thestaffare like in a hurry. although they'll cook the meat for you, they left for other things once they've placed the meat on the plate. as a result, it got burnt easily. it's even better if i could cook by myself.
by the way, they'll try to ask you to leave when you're almost finished. we want to stay and have a chat for some while, however we were kept being asked whether we had finished. in this way they could drive guests away and let new customers in.
[bbq]
the meat is fresh, that's probably the most important reason why a lot of people are giving high ratings to this shop. we tried both marinated and original beef and pork bbq.
[soup]
another disappointing aspect. we ordered cold noodle soup and beef rib soup. it seems that two soup has exactly the same taste. they're like using the same ingredients for all of the soups.
if you're looking for a noisy, casual place, probably this is the place you can go.
