yang chow dimsum tea house

this is a great place for family bonding. the place is very accessible and easy to spot. very spacious and clean. there's also a wide range of chinese cuisine to choose from and it's super delicious. customer service is great and the serving time is quick as well. 😁🍤🍥🍚🍵👍🏻👌🏻

the main bombshell here is their hakaw! to die for! i love how generously they add the shrimp. its really 90% shrimp! i love how it melts in your mouth and it really goes well with their chili garlic sauce. i still can't move on! its a 10/10 for me! we were supposed to order only 2 sets for 4 people but we ended up having 1 set for each. lol! it was that good!!! we also ordered their lemon chicken which i like bec its crispy and tender but i think the sauce was too sweet for me. we also had the fish fillet with broccoli which i love bec the fish melts in your mouth and the broccoli was cooked to perfection. we also had their hot and sour soup which is like 7/10 for me and last their yangchow fried rice is really good. i love how generously they add all the ingredients to that fried rice! i'd love to go back and try their roast sets! i'd give this experience 8/10! ❤️

no yin for yang (chow)

the balance for quality food was not present when we tried yang chow. their yang chow fried rice, a supposed specialty, was gravely disappointing. the beef tenderloin was not tender, it was rubbery. the crab meat soup was so-so. good thing our fried scallop was better. all in all, taste was underwhelming - the savory balance was way off and bland.

another key disappointment were several flies flying around, making our dinner stressful. thankfully, a candle placed by the staff did the trick.

they also forgot to serve our order of hakaw.

just try other places if you’re looking for a good chinese food.

food is absolutely great!

we got the best value for our money, but their service needs a lot of improvement. i read a review of this restaurant before and i remember it made mention of the poor service. i thought maybe because the resto just opened at that time thats why service is still alow, but having experienced it myself yesterday (more than a year after the resto opened), service is indeed poor.

we did not have enough table napkins, food servers were not smiling and appears to be in a hurry and inattentive when taking our order. they even made a mistake on the bill, they charged us more, the ink on the receipt is even difficult to read.


so, i am giving a rating of 3 for this branch. i hope their service gets better.

i loved these dishes that were served during my grandmother's 92nd birthday. the function room had pretty interiors. it was also spacious and cozy that can accommodate around 30 or so people.

i enjoyed the crabs, shrimp spring rolls, fish fillet and the appetizer. :) fried chicken, buchi and mango sago were not in the photo.

bad service - pag pasok mo no one will welcome you tapos lahat ng staff nakasimangot at kahit alam na may bago customer need mo na ikaw ang lumapit or tawagin sila para bigyan ka ng menu at magtake ng order.
kapag may utos naman, mag oo yung staff kapag inutusan pero hindi gagawin. kung mag tatake out ka naman wag ka sa yang chow bibili dahil wala silang plastic utensils. congee yung order tas chopstick lang daw meron sila.

been calling for days and no one answers the phone or phone isn't working.

this restaurant used to be a go-to place of my family. we loved eating here and we even spent some special ocassions in this restaurant. but i can't remember when it exactly started but there has been some changes. first, the prices had increased. it'll be fine if the serving size was still the same, but their serving size got smaller as well. the food isn't as good as it used to be and the place seems a little dirty as well. now, our family doesn't eat here anymore and it's sad because i really miss the taste of the food they used to serve.

my family and i used to love going to this place. each time we went home satisfied. but there seemed to be several changes in their food preparation. the spareribs wasn’t coated. the salt and pepper squid serving has gotten tiny. the prawn with salted egg was served with salad, totally unexpected. the place wasn’t packed but the floors were dirty. the quality of the of the place and the service has gone south in a short time. sad.

this is a cheap place so i was not expecting much but their service is the worst i have ever experienced. to top it off the manager didn’t even want to talk to me when i called to complain. do yourself a favor. stay away.

super lapit lng ntong resto na to samin kaso inabot ng ilang taon since nagbukas eto before nmin kumain dto ng dad ko. all the while we thought medyo expensive pero i was surprised na ok ang price ng bawat dishes. we ordered chopsuey, mixed seafood with broc and seafood fried rice. the servings were generous, taste super ok, the place super cozy. malamig malinis. the interiors are great bsta this resto is great in all aspects. since then we always eat here if we crave for chinese food. and if walang ulam sa house at tamad magluto, nagpapatake out kmi ulam dito dahil super lapit. un lang.

this will our be last time eating in yang chow masinag due to the following reasons.

1. i’m with my 2 grandparents, (both in their late 70’s) my lola was using her baston because its very hard for her to walk, so she told the servers we should sit near the door para it would be easy for her kasi konting lakad lang but the server said, the area is still closed and asked us to sit at the other side which is ang layo for my lola but no choice kasi they don’t care if she walks pa ng malayo.
2. staffs are not friendly at all. even the manager. lahat nakasimangot. so in short, ang pangit ng aura sa resto.
3. we ordered before 4pm, we ordered 3 main dishes, 3 dimsum, 1 fried rice and soup. guess what? we have waited for 1 hour before dumating yung food with numerous follow ups, no kidding, mga 5x.
4. our food was served, take note, ang lamig ng food. walang kainit init! so super na disappoint kami, after waiting for an hour, hindi pa mainit yung food. wala nga kaming kasabay umorder because pag dating namin, kumakain na yung ibang mga tao.

will not come back again, kahit saang branches nila. i wish you have 0 because mas ok yun kesa irate ng 1. mataas pa yung 1 for our experience.

however good they claim the food is, another place will be better, and you can get the food elsewhere. the service is that awful.

no one will welcome you when you come in. you will have to wait for so long for someone to take your order. they do not smile. they make it feel like asking them for anything is super bothersome. and when there is someone else who just came in who are probably someone they know, or someone rich, they will ask that table’s order first, even if the people are right next to you and it’s so obvious that they just arrived, and even if you’ve been getting their attention and being actually told to “wait” for fifteen minutes already.

seriously. either they’re undermanned, or they’re so confident with their patrons already that they don’t need new ones, so it’s okay for them to treat new and unfamiliar guests so terribly. we have never been so disappointed and insulted in a restaurant as we were in yang chow masinag.

i would rate it 0 or a negative if i could, honestly, and i definitely do not recommend it. i wouldn’t wish that treatment to anyone.

when we entered this branch, no one approached us to ask how many are we and we have to approach the lady on the counter to request for a table. customer service is poor because the staff are not attentive and when you request for something, you will see a frown on their faces. waited for almost half an hour for a yang chow fried rice and seafood mixed vegtables that we only ordered. both tasted bland. chow king is much better. the teapot that are free on other chinese restaurants is p60.00 here and when we asked for an extra sweetener, they will charge you an extra p50.00. when we asked for the bill, it took another 10 mins. will definitely not recommend this restaurant and will not going back here again anytime soon.

they serve nothing out of the ordinary. just your typical plain chinese food. however, they have a big serving size for noodles. the place was great though, great for family dinners and events.
