xs-the place to be

not bad decent vibe , good place to get a drink . food is avoidable and expensive , service is good on easy days can get iffy on busy days .

as their tagline goes, this joint is certainly 'the place to be' when it comes to the new age restro's in town. the ambiance is probably unmatched in guwahati and it is absolutely stunning. a serious amount of money has been pumped into this place and that is evident as soon as you enter it.

the interiors and lighting resemble that of a world class pub and extreme care has been taken to pull the whole thing together. so much so that even the entrance to the bathroom has been done keeping in tune with the theme of the place. the service was fantastic too, the waiters were extremely professional at what they were doing and the service time was very quick. the only sad part was that me and my girlfriend were the only customers in the entire place and this place deserves to be buzzing with customers!

now coming to the food, i ordered the lasagna(rs. 320) since that is one of the few dishes i can never get enough of and also because it helps me gauge how good a place is. the lasagna was cooked to perfection and was extremely meaty and tasty but a tad too hot for my liking. i did point that out to the waiter and i just hope that they take it into account because i have had better lasagna elsewhere.

as of yet, i haven't tried the other dishes but i am pretty sure that they will all be amazing. i just hope that the chef dials the chilli down because although i love my stuff to be hot, i don't like it when it overpowers the dish. if the lasagna was a little more balanced i would have definitely given this place a 4.5/5

the prices are not exactly cheap, but they are totally justified because this place is premium. for those of you wondering where its located, its located opposite mocha in anil plaza.

for now, i look forward to visiting this place again though, so that i can try some of the other dishes and then convince myself to bump the rating to a 4.5!

it is exactly the place to be. love the ambience. the rocking aura of the not so big restro is charming. it's always fun to visit. great place to party. cheers guys

went with my friends to xs for couple of drinks. one of the best pubs in guwahati. the bar counter is fully wooden most of the walls are wooden so it gives you the english pub feel. the dj played good music which is always a thumbs up. their staff was very polite and well trained. xs definitely raises the standard of pub/restro loungein guwahati . you can compare this joint with pub of the metro cities. they have a well stocked bar. you get a lot of choice from their bar menu. but their services was very slow. we waited for more than half an hour for our starters.

my girlfriend order a mocktail some strawberry flavored drink. i didn't paid attention to the drink's name but i did tried it and it was good. for starters got some chicken wings and nachos. wings was good but nachos was ok. i have had better. for mains i got a pizza which was again not that great. the crust was very hard.
if you want to visit a cool english pub looking place and take some selfies and have some drinks xs is the place to be. but if you want good food xs is not the place to be, yet!

the management doesn't have the sense to behave with it's customers. the person who claims to be it's proprietor i.e. girish is one of the worst persons we have ever encountered. he was bossy, rude, irresponsive and was pretending to be the owner of the whole abc area. we were asked to give bribe by his subordinates​ who were managing the perking space. when we informed this to the management, rather than taking any action, the hooligans led by girish tried to intimidate us. worst place.

xs is one of those places in guwahati that makes you feel like you're chilling at some place in cp in delhi, like the warehouse cafe or something but in a much smaller area.

this is definitely one of my favourite places in guwahati but then if you are on a tight budget, i wouldn't recommend xs to you.

however, if you drop by this place, do try the north indian cuisine, cus the dal makhani was great!

really "a place to be" ...the xs chocolate is mouth watering ..the baby corn is like never had ! nd. ..at last if u miss the yellow dal nd rice ..u miss the delicious nd fabulous meal!!😊

3/5 because of the service. otherwise they charge more than what we actually eat. at first i thought it was a genuine mistake and then it happened every-time we went there. i got the same complaint from a lot of my friends too. otherwise the place is ok.

xs the pub themed restaurant, which looks amazing and gives you a feel of an irish pub and great place to go in guwahati.

the menu has mix of indian , continental and italian food .
i ordered the tandoori mushroom which was great . the dahi kebab was ok and nothing special. do call for the chicken salad which was good and the black dal and nan was great too.
the aglio olio was a surprising good and a must try.

their alcohol license just got revoked so no drinks. but a good place for food.

if your in guwahati do give it a try.

of all the place i've been in guwahati ..this is perhaps one of the best...initially i was clueless about the place ..but yes the name says it all and turned out to be a pleasant one with great ambiance, classy background and quite innovative.food was good,service could be little more attentive but am sure they can improve.overall we had a great experience and yes definitely recommend this place to everyone.

well the place has really nice interiors and the booze and food is really good when it comes to the quantity compared to the price .
we had ordered a chicken pasta , and it easily served as the dinner for the three of us . as we friends were there to celebrate a special evening , we wanted to dance , and therefore we choose this place , as we had heard it had good music ..
but i felt a bit disappointed as , at around 8 in the evening itself they were paying loud music , making it very difficult to hear even the person sitting beside us ..

so , i would have been happier if the loudness could be meloded down a bit , during the very beginning of the night.but if someone wants to really enjoy at xs , i would suggest coming in at around 9 or after , that's when the music and the ambience are at its best !!
though i didnt like the food ...

an amazing place to be, great ambience, awesome food, variety of drinks. if you are looking for a night out than you are at the right place. soulfull music and the right coziness with the right kind of people. wasn't there for too long but lasagne, nachos and a pint was a bliss.

an amazing place to hang up for some alcohol. pocket friendly and great service. been there once. love the ambience.

to start with menu is very interesting on reading but hope dishes were as good as written about...first tried the papad encrusted paneer tikka. ..sounds interesting but very poor to taste...there was hardly any coating of papad on the tikka...and the tikka was white and plain in taste ..a bit milky to taste...another interesting item on the menu was the soya chilli pepper ..however the soya chunks was not evenly boiled so left some peices hard and uncooked...
next on the main course was pasta alio olia which was good though a bit on the oily side..
then we went for the indian
..dal tadka which was plain yellow daal ...thick with highly any tadka....
overall average...
