wurst und bier

terrible experience. service was poor. we waited an hour and still did not get our meals. and it was at lunchtime!! will not return

i ordered the giant pretzel with the german cheese mixed with parsley. if you like pretzel you'll definitely love this! i also ordered the mild sausage and it was tasty! my co-worker ordered the bbq burger with bacon and cheddar cheese, he said it was juicy and the bread they used was really good and he will definitely order from here again. our first time to grab our lunch from here and so far so good.

brand new. i went there after a movie at the crosswoods because i noticed they were new. located in the old bw3 space, they haven't changed the decor, layout or furniture (besides some paint). good sauerkraut balls but with more potato then i'm used to. not all the menu was available, and our waitress was attentive but very inexperienced. no lack of effort on her part though.

the knockwurst sandwich i ordered (with kraut and carmelized onion) was immense and very tasty. very good, very large bun, good kraut. authentic german mashed potatoes. very good beer selection, fairly priced.

but they had french's mustard out on the tables. given the german theme why use the yellow stuff when a good german brown mustard would cost little more and fit the theme much better? i asked for and received brown mustard, but really this is a detail they should fix.

extensive beer selection. stopped in today, their second day of operation. sports bar theme. beer selection is extensive including many german beers on tap. decent menu, heavy on brats. i had a beef brat "currywurst" style. large, well seasoned brat with bbq sauce sprinkled with curry powder. the combination works well. adam the bartender was very knowledgeable about the beer selections and attentive. pricing is not out of line, but it isn't exactly cheap either. the freshly baked german pretzel was awesome. overall i was impressed. give them a try.

i'm sorry to say but wurst und bier has lost a little of their shine and luster for me. on my last visit i chose not to sit at the bar, which was a mistake. the bench seating is most uncomfortable and our server was mildly sassy and slow. maybe she was having a bad day. ordered the veal schnitzel which while not bad wasn't worth the $17 price. the obazda appetizer again was awesome. i'm not removing my like it vote but in the future i will sit at the bar, stick to the brats and sausages and always order the obazda appetizer. the freshly baked pretzel with german cheese spread is the best item on the menu.

love this place. great german food nothing fancy. i like the sausage selections. the brotkartofle remind me of the ones i eat in germany. beer selection is good too.

great food, slow service for a large group. server was nice but nobody else was willing to help her. good beer selection. authentic food.

long wait and wrong order. we ordered online, got there to pick up the order, and had to wait 30 minutes after it was supposed to be ready to get our food. upon getting home we realized that we received a side of spaetzle instead of the appetizer we ordered. we also ordered the vegetarian flatbread. here is what the menu says it is: "tomato sauce, mozzarella, grilled zucchini, olives, sun-dried tomatoes and chile peppers." here is what came on it: tomato sauce, mozzarella, grilled zucchini, olives, regular tomatoes (not sun-dried tomatoes), mushrooms (which i hate), and no chile peppers. very disappointing.

great!. authentic german food plus! the seating is cool. went during the day. service was great. food was great. i'll definitely be back soon!

we left without having dinner, we were told it was a 20 min wait even though half the restaurant was empty, when we asked about sitting in the bar they said it was "reserved". we walked to the bar and there were 8 empty seats at the bar, so weird to close the bar on a saturday night and turn business away with lots of empty seats.

service was great. sat at bar. fried pickles were awesome. had exotic wurst too. great place

it is the lack of consistency. i said i would be back and will come again. i do find a lack of consistency in some items like potato salad. choice was mustardy or mayo. went with mustard. there was none. previously i had one that was vinegar based and excellent. also the excuses regarding the 'water' stains on silverware don't set well. do something about it!

really great schnitzel and beer. third time in two weeks being here. walked a couple blocks in a downpour to get here, with umbrella of course. will come back many more times.

i went on a saturday night and wanted to try something different. well that's what i got. the best thing about the place was the pretzel. my entree came out cold and dry. it was as if i attempted to make german food on my own at home and with no gravy. they do not offer stuffed snitzel and the spaetzel was an attempt at a german mac 'n cheese. beyond awful!! it was like eating paste. my dinner date ordered sausages that looked like they had been dried out for days. it was interesting because they had "mini" chickens roasting on the pit outside. they looked delicious but could not locate them on the menu nor did they mention anything about them. i will never ever return again. not for the $45 check that i had to pay. waiter was very nice and apologetic. i feel bad he is stuck at a place like this. go to schmidt's instead!!!!

tasty. get the pretzel.. this place is great. awesome pretzels, sausages and spaetzle. get the smoked beef wurst. it's akin to the best hot dog you'll ever have. the swiss cheese spaetzle is also fantastic. you have to get the pretzel and dip it in the hot mustard.

this place is good enough to make you want to move to columbus,

not very good.... we stopped by friday night and had very good service. however, the food did not live up to expectations. my brat was dry and tough and the flatbreads were just ok. beer was good.

not worth fighting the traffic on st rt 23.

... i picked the wrong brat, but overall the place is pretty darn good. a good selection of sausages, even though my first two choices were out of stock. that was my one problem. candice: maybe they can't handle the demand. worth coming back? paul: indeed.
