belair location ugly cake poor customer service. i ordered a birthday cake over the phone at the bel air store, requesting fall colors. the attendant asked me if i meant oranges and yellows and i said yes. a co-worker picked up the cake for me this morning. the cake was decorated with brown and tan roses with forest green leaves. the ugliest, depressing colors imaginable. i called the bakery and asked to speak to the manager, i was told the manger would call me back. i received a call from conchetta, you told me the bakery had a color disclaimer and were not responsible, i should have brought in color swatches! they have a color palette they work with and the browns were the fall color palette. even when i told her colors were discussed, she said evidently the girl did not write down yellows and oranges, only "fall colors". when i said that was not my fault, she again repeated that have a color disclaimed. i work in events for a college and i can only say that this bakery needs a class in customer service 101. i told her that everyone in my dept. were very dissatisfied with the cake decorations and we would not be using woodlea bakery again. she said "i'm sorry." rule # 1 in customer service is to apologize and then make it up to your customer, so they will return. as it stands, woodlea bakery has just lost approximately 20 customers.
