01.05.2017 on our way back home from our weekend away we figured we needed to stop again half way for a breather. we actually stopped elsewhere but the service was terrible so we said let's go back to the windmill and try the waffles. loved the outside setting and all the greenery.

i tried the bubblegum milkshake which was really good. we all tried differentwafflesbut we were all slightly disappointed with them. they ended up being rather mushy with the toppings on so you didn't really get thatwafflescrispness. mine was the pear and apple caramel waffle. my mom had the windmill whirlwind waffle, my sister took the custard apple waffle and our friend had the french toast waffle with bacon.

the service was good and the staff were friendly.

the name says it all: expect an exciting variety ofwafflesto choose from! from a french toast waffle to a waffle loaded with bacon and scrambled eggs. the classic waffle and ice cream combo is what i decided to have and it did not disappoint.

first time visiting the waffle house. staff are very friendly and welcoming. perfect venue for summer as it is situated in the lower part of the windmill in the shade. there arewafflesfor the sweet tooth and savory. they do breakfasts options until 2pm,waffleswith chicken or spinach, as well as something sweet with fruit such as strawberries and pear pieces. sweetwafflescome with a choice of cream, ice cream or both. it is a must visit for the whole family if you are passing through or visiting jasmyns.

average diner forwafflesin haarties. the surrounding area that it resides in , is absolutely breathtaking. the service call bell is pretty awesome as the waiters attend to you immediately. i tried the melktert (milktart) waffle , loved that it wasn't overly sweet and that the milk tart filling was creamy and delicious!wafflesare slightly over priced.

it was amazing ... the service was great ... we didn't wait long to be served or for our food. thewafflesare the most deliciouswafflesl have ever tasted ... i would go again any time.

wonderful setting in the harbeespoort dam area. wide variety of toppings for the tastywaffleswhich are quite small and more based on the belgian waffle concept. try the breakfast waffle or the other sweeter varieties. ideally situated next to the farmers market where locally produced fresh produce can be bought.

went there yesterday after 3 years don't stay in the area. really disappointed with the menu as it changed drastically, the last time we went it was exceptional with a great variety of differentwafflesaswell as good service but this was not the case yesterday we arrived at about 16:30 knowing they will close in 30 minutes we ordered promptly. we were rushed from the get go and the waiters stuck the bill in our hands after we finished waiting with a card machine. it is sad to see such a great place become so horrible. won't see me ever again!

we visited the windmeul wafelhuis for desert after lunch. the manager and waiters are friendly however the food is subpar.

we both order plainwaffleswhich was average at best. the ice cream tastes like it was mass produced and cheap. thewafflesthemselves felt very dough as if slightly undercooked.

llloooovvvveeeewafflesand they used to be great but i was very disappointed today with the quality of thewaffleswe where served. not only did they shrink they also soggy and bordering on a milky lane waffle just smaller. what used to be a great outing to harties has turned into a disappointment. betterwafflescloser to home 😩

we came here for lunch and decided to give this place a try. we were rewarded with friendly, efficient service and a delicious lunch. i thoroughly enjoyed my dutch apple tart dessert.wafflesand ice cream were fabulous.

after having taken a special trip out to try thewafflesi was left waffling away about how bad it really was....

a waffle in my opinion is a full circle in size not half a size....i was left a bit dissapointed with the fact that half a waffle with two dollops of ice cream was not what i had expected from a place that holds itself out to be a waffle house...at r 28 i was not impressed...

the selection of milkshakes is rather dissapointing too and not exactly the most taste either. ..

i sadly will not be visiting again...

i visited the waffle house on sunday expecting fireworks.. sadly thewaffleswere soggy and tasteless. i tried the french toast waffle and a dessert waffle with apples and biscuits.. on paper it was great but in reality it was really lacking. on a positive.. the staff were excellent.. super friendly.. great atmosphere.. i would definitely go again if thewafflesimproved

my most favorite breakfast spot yet. it has become a firm favorite for a sunday morning snack. the selection of savory and sweetwaffleskeep most taste buds satisfied. the perfect spot before some veggie shopping.

as you drive into hartbeespoort on the r511, one cannot help but notice a large dutch windmill on your left. the first day that i found windmeul wafelhuis aka 'the windmill restaurant' in hartbeespoort, we were there to have a look around the famously reasonable jasmyn plaasprodukte (who have incredible veggie selections), and the local market that sets up there on a sunday too.

what surprised me is that there are actually two listings for this same restaurant on zomato - an english one and an afrikaans one but on a second trip out here, i have checked and this is the correct listing. 

a very afrikaans spot with friendly service, decent savoury and sweetwafflesas well as lots of really different takes on waffle toppings. 

*recommendation: if you are a waffle fan and don't want to pay the earth - then this is the spot for you!

the bestwafflesnorth west has got to offer this gem is always packed and has a great vibe around it. energetic staff with a menu that is centered around waffles. you will not find a skinny waitron at this joint which is an indication that the people are passionate about their food.
