01.05.2017 on our way back home from our weekend away we figured we needed to stop again half way for a breather. we actually stopped elsewhere but the service was terrible so we said let's go back to the windmill and try the waffles. loved the outside setting and all the greenery.

i tried the bubblegum milkshake which was really good. we all tried different waffles but we were all slightly disappointed with them. they ended up being rather mushy with the toppings on so you didn't really get that waffles crispness. mine was the pear and apple caramel waffle. my mom had the windmill whirlwind waffle, my sister took the custard apple waffle and our friend had the french toast waffle with bacon.

the service was good and the staff were friendly.

was decidedly ok...don't think about taking the family for a late lunch kitchen closes early and even desserts (waffles) are not served after 4pm on a sunday.

i was so impressed with the service, personal attention and friendliness of the staff here! we went for a brunch on mother's day and it was so busy! but we only waited about 10-15 minutes for a table! our waitress was at our table almost immediately with the menus and a smile, our drinks came about 5 minutes later, and we probably waited about 15-20 minutes for our food order! there were at least 3 managers on duty, and all of them came past our table at least once to ask if all was ok. also, we never had to sit with empty plates and glasses on the table, as the busboys were on top form.
the food was delicious - best croquettes i've ever tasted! :d

cozy family restaurant with lovely views and good, unpretentious food. fish cooked to perfection, and burger patties are moist and flavorsome. very pleasant weekend outing.

the name says it all: expect an exciting variety of waffles to choose from! from a french toast waffle to a waffle loaded with bacon and scrambled eggs. the classic waffle and ice cream combo is what i decided to have and it did not disappoint.

windmeul waffelhuis (windmill waffel house) is one of three eating venues at the popular hartebeestport local produce market, jasmyn.
if offers a decent and tasty selection of sweet and savoury waffels, with interesting combinations of toppings. service was friendly and fast. the scenic garden setting, atmosphere and food makes for a recommended outing when visiting the area.

visited a bit late in the afteroon and staff did not seem interested in helping, milkshakes orders tasted off and were warm. all in all not the best service.

first time visiting the waffle house. staff are very friendly and welcoming. perfect venue for summer as it is situated in the lower part of the windmill in the shade. there are waffles for the sweet tooth and savory. they do breakfasts options until 2pm, waffles with chicken or spinach, as well as something sweet with fruit such as strawberries and pear pieces. sweet waffles come with a choice of cream, ice cream or both. it is a must visit for the whole family if you are passing through or visiting jasmyns.

terrible service. a group of us waited to be seated then proceeded to find a seat ourselves. we tried to get the waiters' attention but none of them seemed to care. we rang the bell many times but no one came. my friend raised her hand and waved to get the attention of two waiters talking to each other. they looked annoyed but the waitress reluctantly brought menus which she slammed on the table and did not pass out. nevertheless i greeted her politely, she ignored me and walked away. we found them to be extremely rude. we left immediately. we won't be returning.

not the same place as the windmeul restaurant. situated right below it though and probably same management but different menu. photo’s on zamato confusing as some are of the place above.

little bit limited choice. service very good.

not the best waffle i ever had but overall not a bad experience.

will come back.

great vairety of waffles. daybreaker breakfast choice this morning- delicious! friendly staff, speedy service. great drive out from joburg on a sunday for a pit stop.

the wafelhuis is situated by the popular jasmyn farmers market (freshest fruit and vegetables at unbelievable prices). i like to make this my last stop when visiting harties, stocking up on fresh produce and then rewarding myself with a golden waffle with vanilla ice cream and syrup, yummmm. they are very reasonably priced and the service is always friendly.

tasty food. tasty coffee. tasty deserts. service usually good but sometimes not so good because non-professional "weekend waiters" are hired. waiters are often tattood youngsters and these inspire no confidence and lends a "tattood underclass" ambiance to the restaurant. but the food remains tasty.

lovely 😊 delicious waffles. very well priced and good service. the staff are very friendly. i had the cheese cake waffle it was devine, my son had the chicken waffle very good. they also have banana and caramel and my husband really enjoyed it. the setting is so pretty.
