o..... m..... goooooodness!. we tried the wild scallion today and were lured in by the delicious smells.... the chef gave us a bowl of chinese porridge to try, and we were hooked! we came in and had the teriyaki chicken lunchbox and it was delicious. tasty, fresh, perfectly seasoned (not overpowering).... i will definitely be back!

this place is a very "bc" restaurant, lots of vibes reminding me of victoria in a kind of nice way.  we chose them pretty much because they had a nice website and were nearby and our other choice was closed.  they apparently offer cooking classes which strikes me as odd since the meals indicated no mastery of cookery to be shared, but they are taking some unique and bold choices in their menu.  the service was quite rude, the server seemed rushed and treated us as an inconvenience.  the appetizer was chips and dip, with a handful of two kinds of mostly broken and semi-stale bagged chips.  one of us had the salad rolls, which were reportedly subpar and had a sort of strange taste not very typical or conducive to the nature of the dish.  i had a curry which i did like, especially the mixed grains.  it was odd that the curry contained one single very large chunk of potato and a couple large pieces of other veggies, maybe like 5 chunks in total, but still good.  another one of us had a noodle bowl which was apparently decent but nothing amazing.  we did not dislike the restaurant, it was just shy of "ok", but we universally agreed that we were all unlikely to return, though it did nourish us in the cold weather.

i had high hopes for this place by it was mediocre. the whole family agreed that i make better noodle/rice bowls at home. plus the teriyaki chicken wasn't ready when we arrived & said it would be a 30 min wait for it, which my hubby wasn't very happy about. enjoyed the salad wraps but coffee was cold & my hubby's pad thai had too much peanut butter & not enough vegetables. my thai noodle bowl had delicious mushrooms in it but lacked in flavour and any other vegetables. sadly won't be back.

while you can't knock the healthiness of the food, you might find it over-priced given how simple the menu is. also, if you're wondering why the staff of young women seem sad, consider the owner. i've come here twice; the second (and final) time the owner ungraciously tossed a half-closed carton on the counter with a scowl and said "there you go, mass'ah," (as in "master," as in, i hate serving you.) i guess he was in a bad mood, but our interaction had been normal before that, so it was really surprising, not to mention offensive. sorry for being your customer; it won't happen again!

haven't been so happy with a restaurant in years!. we were drawn in by the cute storefront and the fact that it was actually open on a sunday. the menu was interesting. raw food? check. gluten free? check. vegetarian? aww hell yiss!

we saw the organic wine, ale, and hibiscus concoction in the display case and were sold (hey, it was a hot day). hong and his staff got us into a beautiful booth table surrounded by gorgeous, colourful local art. we ordered and chatted a bit with hong about spice levels and things like that. when i mentioned my passion for spice, he lit up like a candle! haha. he gave me a complimentary bowl of rice and a dish of peaches and apple splices for trying out his wonderful, fiery hot sauces and spice powders. seriously, i would say i tried eight or nine original products of his, all of which hurt my face in the best possible way. then he gave us a complimentary dessert to help calm down the spice high.

this restaurant specializes in making food unique, interesting, healthy, and tasty as can be. if you have food questions or concerns, ask hong about it. he talks to his farmers and seems to have travelled enough to know what he's talking about....and can hook you up with something that will really get your tastebuds smilin'.

brilliant.

wild food!. really good, healthy and delicious food in this pretty funky place. great staff, creative kitchen, the chef gave us a sample of what he was cooking, pine mushrooms, and a fresh italian prune plum as we were leaving. local food prepared with care, the aromas of spices and good cooking met us in the street outside,

my tastebuds are buzzing, simply vdelicious. the chalkboard menu was slightly confusing and a bit over priced (compared to the under 10dollar entre quoted by urbanspoon)
vegan is cool but i like naan with my dal.

a fantastic experience eating here. we were visiting from vancouver and wanted to have a casual dining experience that had vegetarian options for some of our party. our b+b suggested this place and might i say it was our favorite dining experience of our entire trip. the food is very good, portions are quite large and the service is super friendly and laid back. not to mention that it's so reasonably priced. this might be the okanagan's best kept secret.

wow! such a good vibe when you walk into the restaurant! these people put love and thought into their food. no dairy, no gluten, 95% vegan menu. always friendly. these people really care about educating what food should taste like. simple, healthy, mouth watering food made from real ingredients...nothing frozen or pre packaged from a warehouse. if you're conscious of what you put into your body you have to eat here!!

fantastic food! amazing flavors. however, the staff seems to be "away with the faeries". it's not that they're not nice, because they definitely are, it's just that orders and drinks are forgotten easily. overall great place, would highly recommend it! i wish them all the best!
