the menu is a variety of creative sandwich-esque portable food, which is targeting thegoodlooking and affluent drunks scattered about howard avenue on any given weekend (or week) night...

had my first experience with wicked wiches at the food truck rally that was held in tampa. this was a busy day for these folks but that did not in anyway interfere with them to providegoodfood and great service. we were delighted with the menu choices we made. i ordered and really enjoyed the broken egg on krispy kreme donut. dave ordered the monty cristo and it was really good. together we ordered the "witch bombs" this is homemade jalapino poppers. as the name says they were the bomb!!! this experience cost us $20.00 and was worth every penny. if you are lucky enough to have them roll in near you, drop what you are doing and give them a try.

creative in name, ideas, and presentation... no more.. i've managed to snag bites of the monte cristo, big lebrowski, dr. pepper chicken, sloppy mary, and those sweet potato chips. i maintain my belief that hot, lunch food should be salty-- and those sweet potato chips with some added sugary drizzle should not be served together! (butgoodon its own)

however great in appearance, the flavor wasn't as great. honestly, i'll blame the frying batter. although the batter managed to stay thin and keep everything inside soft and moist, the batter seemed to mute any potential flavors caused by the sausage meat or chicken-- is that even possible? if you don't want the meat to shine, at least let the dough be flavorful... it wasn't. bland, bland, bland. at least the looming, black food truck looked very cool.

value: i'll compare this truck to the ones you see at state fairs. same gimmicks, same prices of the same sizes, and same non-wow, fried flavor.

disappointed...:( i am a big fan of gourmet food trucks, so when i heard about the debut of wicked 'wiches, i was excited to try them out. especially, since unlike other major cities, the food truck frenzy has not really evolved here yet. unfortunately, wicked 'wiches fell flat for me. i tried them out twice. during my first visit, i tried their grilled portabello mushroom sandwich. the bread was delicious (especially knowing they bake their own bread) and the sandwich itself was fine. i liked the portabello and the grilled vegetables; however, the balsamic vinaigrette could have been distributed more evenly throughout the sandwich. and, the sweet potato chips were too thin and not crispy enough. with this being said, i did enjoy the bread and the other items on the menu lookedgoodso i wanted to try them out again. it was during my second visit that, unfortunately, my enthusiasm over wicked 'wiches deflated. i ordered the moroccan smash ball and fried maduro pickles. the bread for the slider was surprisingly stale, the lamb and beef patty was thin and dry and under seasoned. the fried maduro pickle was ok...i liked the dipping sauce on the side. in addition, i was surprised that unless you specifically ask for your food to be wrapped or put into a covered container, it is handed over in an open food tray. this was my experience on both occasions, and it may not be the same for others, but wanted to note this.
