ummm, ever hear of the motto: where's the meat!!! this is a $10 sandwich, i got a half a sandwich, wtf??? come on here, thicken the meat, thin down the bread, add more cheese instead of a strip of cheese. this should be a man sandwich, make it a man sandwich, you made it a fluff sandwich with pimento's???

come on, beef this sandwich up!!!

sad, sad and sad.

poor service, bad server. we drove an hour to visit this restaurant. the atmosphere and the food were good, however we had a very bad experience with the server. this has been the first time i have been very uncomfortable with a server tone of voice, attitude and service.

1) the server told us how things were going to be: order drinks first, order appetizer and then dinner. this felt like we had to do things the way he wanted, however when you go to a restaurant you decide how you want to order in whatever way you want. you will be paying, not asking for a favor.

2) we were rushed to quickly order and get out. i asked the server what was the hurry; i was there to have a good time with the family. his response were " look at how pack the restaurant is"

3) although the food was good, the service was awful and will not be coming back.

if you want to be treated poorly and be rushed thru your meal, then this is the place to be. you get a better service from a fast food place.

bad service, worse management. never going back.

-----28 may, 2015-----

never going back. waitress forgot to add food to my friend's bill, manager blamed the rest of the party and tried to charge us for the food he ordered, after he had already closed his tab and left. waitress's fault, not the way to handle an issue from a management perspective. won't be going back, ever.

the atmosphere was pretty chill on a rainy sunday afternoon. the beer selection was extensive. service was satisfactory. the bartender seemed pretty weeded but handled it professionally. i ordered the breakfast bowl and my wife had the veggie scramble. i asked for my eggs over easy as the menu offers them scrambled on the dish. i don't particularly care for scrambled eggs and thought the runny yolk would be a nice addition to an already flavorful sounding dish. unfortunately, both of our dishes were delivered cold and my eggs came out scrambled instead of over easy as i had asked for. my dish came with a biscuit, which i didn't care for either. even though the dishes were cold they were very flavorful. i didn't want to complain, because as i stated before, the bartender seemed a bit weeded and i have a great deal of respect for chef paul yow. i think the food just sat in the pass a little too long. overall, it was a nice experience. we will be back to try the tater balls!

won't be going back. this place needs to decide what it wants to be. either be a sports bar or a nice restaurant. trying to be both is stretching things too thin and thus nothing seems to be great. seems like it would be a great place to go with your friends after a summer softball game but not on a date. the giant tvs everywhere were distracting and the food was very bland - especially for the price. if you're going to serve food at this price point it better be great or you can otherwise just serve it and price it as what it is - bar food. i wasn't in the mood for a burger or pizza so that left me with like 4 dinner options. i choose the sausage and penne and seriously could have made it better myself. zero taste. the hostess gave us dirty menus (crusted food on them) and took about 6 minutes to decide where to seat us despite the place being practically empty. our server was very awkward. didn't bring water and seemed annoyed when we asked for it. we couldn't decide on what to drink so instead of offering suggestions or giving us time to look at the menu she just stood there and stared at us while we felt rushed to pick something. we couldn't wait to get out of this place. good news is the valet was wonderful. very friendly and eager guy with a smile who had nice things to say.

westies gastropub is a sleek spot on the south side of the brewery district. it's a great place to catch a game with large high-def tvs lining the walls, and the kitchen turns out tasty comfort food classics that pair well with craft beer and cocktails. its location is a bit south of some people's normal columbus travel radius. hopefully they ignore the address, because plenty of great restaurants are found outside of the more high profile neighborhoods. the restaurant focuses on local, organic ingredients. the bar has a great selection of local brews. the menu has vegetarian starters, salads, sandwiches and pizzas. some items, such as the potato and cheddar pierogi, can be prepared in a vegetarian manner by request.  the grilled portabella mushroom, served on a grilled brioche bun, is prepared like a veggie burger. it is topped with pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo. the smoke flavors were nice, though the texture was slightly gummy. other vegetarian entrees include the grilled cheese and tomato sandwich and the vegetarian delight, which is grilled tofu with carrots, edamame, onions, brussel sprouts, slaw and arugula with a quinoa side salad.  posted by deraj1013 at 1:46:00 pm

save you money.. saturday evening my husband and i went to westies for the first time. our bartender was very pleasant and helpful in deciding on the beer we would enjoy the most. the pineapple beer we chose was refreshing. we both ordered the turkey club sandwich, with a wedge salad. the bartender asked if we would like our salad first, and we said "yes." it was good we were enjoying our beer because it took 15 minutes for the kitchen to bring out our salads. the salad looked good; however, by the first 2 bites we realized there was no dressing, only a few pieces of bleu cheese on top. we had to ask for dressing. so for (2) $8 salads we got 1 cherry tomato cut in half on top, and a tiny cup of dressing for both of us to share. about 10 minutes later we got our sandwiches. after my first bite i was ready to leave. my worst sandwich at panera was better and cost $4 less! my sandwich had the lowest cost pressed turkey in it! i will never return. i found out i can buy the pineapple beer at the grocery, and i definitely can find better quality food, for a better price. i don't mind getting what i paid for, but this was definitely not one of those times!
