this place has been around for years,my grandma used to go there when she was young. when i was a child i loved their idli sambar and pongal but by mid 2000s there has been a definite change in the taste of their food and not for the better. hygiene is questionable. nevertheless still come here for their sambar idli . the coffee is great. it's always crowded and noisy so be prepared.

this place is known for their sambar idli. a place where idli is a side dish for sambar. this is a place every chennaite should visit. you will always get a good affordable, tummy full breakfast and evening tiffin here. it's a pretty old place and their legacy still stands.

it is a normal decent family vegetarian restaurant idli sambar is famous there masala dosa is ok and also chola poori it has a white sitting arrangement but it is a bit congested because always large crowd enter there during night time you there is terrace facilities it will be much more free for people to sit and eat authentic food is provided over the race a very less it's very reasonable normal service staff for not much friendly but if you order food it really takes 10 to 15 minutes you should just wait for your food the place looks are very traditional and also the people the stuff they were there it is good for authentic families decent family middle class restaurant taste a very good and some are normal@manoj amal raj

the very ancient and famous hotel... that still serves really well. the basundi 😍😍😍😍 was yummmyyy.. the hospitality was great in such crowd too...

unnecessarily hyped hotel. the sambar is not at all good. there are 100s of far better south indian restaurants available in chennai.
taste : not good, 1/5 ambiance: clean, 3/5 service: prompt, 4/5 cost: approx 300 for 2, 4/5

wholesome veg restaurant for pocket friendly, tasty food. all south indian food is good here. if only they can manage the crowd thronging here :-) for the super food they provide...way to go..one of great veg restaurants in chennai.

earlier use to prefer this place , was my first preference for breakfast whenever i had gone to the beach in the morning . the dosa was oily and crisp and the idli were very soft . service is quick and prompt . but one day i had seen a staff sneeze at a dosa while packing it , he was sick and he kept sneezing while packing the dosa and idli for takeaway , ever since that day i havent had a bite of anything from this restaurant . wondering the condition of the staff inside the kitchen and how they make the food all the time . totally unhygienic restaurant .

one of the most famous south indian restaurant which is highly preferred for breakfast and meals. try dosa, idli and coffee here. prices are very reasonable and it is always crowded as being popular.

we landed up there on a sunday afternoon.. so hungry and the place was crowded so badly.. but m some how good a table.. ordered chola puri n fried rice.. chola puri was excellent yummy.. the fried rice was even good.. but it was dry no side dish.. overall happy..
