the food is great and service is quick and fast! usually a great place to have south indian at any time. i personally love coming here post a good morning workout for some hot idli!

this restaurant is specially famous for its sambar idly and do not forget to drink coffee, as it will add an extra taste to your meal. do hit the like button if you shared the same experience.

the best idli in chennai. i disliked sambar like anything before visiting the hotel. the sambar served like water in quantities, is definitely worth a visit here.

an early morning trip after a long time to this iconic place in namma chennai ...
where else but welcome hotel ...
always crowded ... whatever time you try to reach ... the wait is always there ...
piping hot sambhar poured on the softest of idli's ...
the awesome ghee pongal ... the light and fluffy medu vadai ...
the crispy and not so spicy ... podi dosa ...
and to top it all ... the best semiya payasam and the filter coffee ...
early morning bliss ...

it's a #landmark. amazing food but poor service. parking ur vehicle is big issue nd above that security guy is always rude. but gng thr since childhood nd memories .

the best sambar ever! the place hasn't changed much over the decades and continues to serve quick, high quality & incredible food. you will never be satisfied with any other sambar after tasting theirs!

best sambar idli in the city!! the idly is as soft as a flower it literally crumbles when you touch it with your spoon and that's no exaggeration.

the sambar man oh man is lip smacklingly delicious. you'll feel like taking in a gulp.

overall the place stays true to its history and tradition. the hotel is very simple and the service as well as people working are willing to serve with a smile on their face.

p.s before this i went to welcome hotel a decade back keeping the usual shopping and dinner afterwards at welcome hotel, purasaivakkam.

one of the best place for vegetarian lovers. pocket-friendly and very tasty. their sambar and vada curry are must try. only problem is the parking. it is very difficult to find a place, sometimes one have to waiting in queue to park the bike.

their sambar and the ghee roast are to die for 😍😍😍 omg..!!! the best sambar in chennai for sure. and even the coffe which i had was worthed. a must visit place .

best place to have vegetarian tiffin in purasaiwalkam, there idly sambar is the best of there menu. it is a early morning restaurant, people from morning walk, gym and morning sports people comes here for breakfast and their hospitality is very warm and they make their customers satisfied by food as well as their comfortable.

idly sambar, vada/bonda is really good here. coffee 👍🏻
mini meals- all good, chapati was average.
almost every dish tastes good(atleast above average).

crowded all the time but the place is maintained to be clean. food is served within 5-7minutes to the table.

restaurant has good menu but quantity is less compared to others and cost is high . and for parcels waiting line is horrible. not due to orders due to persons who pack things .

it all started here. the love for sambar vada for me i know only welcome hotel for sambar vada and sambar idly when i was a kid whenever i go i use to drink sambar because their sambar tastes semma sweet and good most all chennaites know this place and most of them would have tried if u didn't please go and try

the sambar is the signature of this restaurant
it may also be regarded as the signature sambar of chennai. the service is okay. the idli sambar and
sambar vada is really mouthwatering. the sambar smell itself is amazing .
