nice izakaya with pretty decent fusion japanese food. the dishes are pretty pricey though. we got the mexican ceviche, vegetable tempura, chicken katsu curry with cheese and the jumbo roll. thesashimiwasn’t very fresh, texture was way too chewy. the highly would’ve been the ceviche and the cheese chicken katsu

we ate here twice in four night, so that should tell you how good this place is. we had the miso soup, combinationsashimiand the old school nigiri plate. the miso was nice and strong, made from a great dash broth and the fish was so fresh and really tasty. the waitress and the sushi chef were very friendly and so welcoming. we will definitely eat here whenever we are in cairns.

yum! we were really impressed with the quality of the food here and also the service. we had the mixedsashimiwhich was fresh, clean, tender and was served with freshly grated tasmanian wasabi! we also had the nigiri platter, vegetarian gyoza and some edamame washed down with 2 pints of the house geisha beer. we lived everything and will definitely be back.

great little restaurant. highly recommend. good selection of beers.sashimiand sushi great. loved the panko pork skewers and chicken karrage.

hits the spot !!!. what a great little find... every now and then you stumble upon a diamond in the rough. from the tunes to the table, wawawa found me pleasantly surprised after happening upon this little gem during a night out in town. we were looking for something affordable and low key and we found exactly that at wawawa. atmosphere is chilled as is the beer. great bold flavours and generous servings of traditional asian fare with the chef's own contemporary twist, the produce is fresh and presented beautifully, the bestsashimii've eaten in a long while.... thankyou and well done to all the staff at wawawa... see you again soon :)
