ate here over the weekend and it was lovely. booked a table, we were seated straight away and service was always quick for both drinks and meals. pizza was delicious.. loved the thin crust. tiramisu wasn't the best but stillgoodto finish off my meal.

i was passing through with my wife and we decided to grab lunch here as it was just off the main road and it looked like a great place to sit and enjoy the sun.

however, the menu selection was limited and food wasn'tgoodvalue for money. for the price we were expecting higher quality. the blue boy pizza was supposed to have gorgonzola on the topping, which is a strong tasting blue cheese, but we couldn't taste it at all - not even a hint of it. it was disappointing.

on the plus side, the coffee wasgoodand the service was ok.

my boyfriend and i have just been too volpino, it started out lovely withgoodcustomer service from our waitress. my boyfriend ordered a pizza and i ordered a carbonara, i told the waitress i wasn't too hungry and would only eat a small serve, she checked and said it would be ok for me to have a kids size carbonara. the meals came out and the pasta looked like mac and cheese, was tasteless and had 3 pieces of meat in it. my boyfriends pizza was ok but for $22 i would expect better quality, flavours and presentation. when paying the bill i mentioned that the pasta i had was disappointing, i said it nicely as i hate to complain. the man serving me made me feel awkward and didn't know how to take constructive criticism on board. disappointing and i won't recommend to any family or friends and i certainly won't be returning

excellent food and service. we went to volpino on friday night for my mum's 79th birthday - there were 12 of us and there no complaints from any one! from the outset the service was excellent, very attentive without being pushy and considering how busy they were that night we never had to wait for service or assistance. i love the menu it is the sort of food i enjoy eating and in fact the sort of food i love to cook. the pizza was very authentic, thin crust simple toppings freshgoodquality ingredients. i had squid ink pasta with seafood - all of it delicious and the serving size was spot on. my wife had the fish which was delicate fresh clean and also delicious. i could go on about all of the dishes we ordered and ate but quite simply the food and the service was excellent and i was impressed. they were also happy for us to bring in a birthday cake which they hid and then delivered to our table with candles burning. thanks for a great night to everyone at volpino and friday night!! i will definitely be back.

tucked away amongst the strip of shops in mount martha this a very modern place serving italian cuisine. the mussels and gourmet pizza were verygood- the pizzas are with the traditional thin and crusty base. service was also verygoodand we will definitely be back.

loved this restaurant. headed with a couple of friends to volpino and had a great night. pizzas were delicious, dessert amazing and the local wine and olives we had did not disappoint. it feltgoodto be in a restaurant that supported local produce. the staff were friendly and attentive too. no complaints, we left happy campers!

love it, can't fault it. we've been here 5 times now, and have loved it everytime. for a start, they make a mean negroni, garnished with fine ribbons of orange peel that really perfume the drink. we nearly always start by sharing some entrees; the mussels are local, and fantastic, the warm olives with chorizo are amazing, and whatever special they have with buffalo mozzarella is worth getting. whilst my various companions have tried specials such as barramundi, and an amazing veal, lemon and potato dish, i can never go past their pizzas. my alltime faves being the 'our favourite", zucchini, fior di latte, taleggio and chili, and the napoletana, tomato sugo, fior di latte, olives, capers and anchovies. if i can persuade someone, we get both and split them. sure, they're all around the $22 mark, but the ingredients are best quality, and as a chef myself, i know how much these things cost.
they have a really interesting wine list, some local, spanish and italian wines, and the owners, two really nice, friendly guys, are keen to help with any you may not have heard of.
we're so happy to finally have a fantastic place like this in mt martha, plus it's so casual, on hot summer nights we head straight from the beach, sandy and in thongs, and grab a table out the front. plus today i noticed their deck is going in, so it'll be even better!

love it. second time here, loved it all over again! had buffalo mozzarella with prosciutto to start, enough to share between 2 and cheap for the quality and quantity. fantastic pizza, reallygoodveal main, great salad, interesting well priced wine list.
finally mt martha has a great place to go!

yummy gluten friendly goodness. great food. interesting pizza toppings that are unique and delicious. the gluten free pizza bases are really good. i have their chocolate mousse for dessert and it was wonderful. the service wasgoodtoo.

to keep it simple and short, this place had agoodvibe and the service was great with a friendly female waitress who delivered excellent service. in terms of the food, the pork special was just ok the pizza was nice but the dessert pizza failed miserably with a slither of nutella spread over the thing pastry with a couple of strawberries on their, i have had much better nutella pizza in the past. the one pitfall of this place is that they ask a bit much for the food they deliver as i have had far greater quality for less in melbourne. they are onto somethinggoodhere but need to modify their prices a little and improve the dessert menu and add some meat based dishes to the regular menu such as a veal scallopine or something else italian as not everyone wants pizza all the time.
