i've never described a pizza as "wet" before but this was the descriptor that three diners have independently come up with. it's a shame because the gluten free pizza base was being given major thumbs up and it's a cheerful looking place in a stretch of not a lot of choice.

superb!. the guys here are fantastic. food, wine and service are always perfect. went today for a family birthday with a very large group, including some loud, crazy toddlers and had a fantastic meal. cannot recommend this place enough, always guaranteed a wonderful time.

i'm guessing that the business owners inherited the location and business as their service attitude and skills are very poor. we visited on a sunday afternoon. the restaurant was less than half full, however no seats were available inside without a booking. we took our seats along the bar at the front and waited quite some time to receive menus, quite some time more to order drinks and quite some time more to receive drinks. when we asked to place a food order, the lady brushed us off by suggesting she'd be back after finishing one other job. 15 minutes later and no-one had bothered to come back to take our order. it's a pizza restaurant for god's sake!

mt martha village is quite small and it's a shame that such a great location is dominated by such crap service. the drinks were ok and no idea what the food was like. don't bother and head to mornington where there are many options with great views, great food and great service.

unfortunately this place has disappointed me got 3 pizzas paid $76 i wouldn’t recommend this to anyone there pizzas were so dull no effort or love was put in making them there advantage is theres not many shops around drove 10mins to mornington just to get a better meal and was totally worth it.

possibly the worst pizza i have had in my life, had it take away and i can’t believe how disgusting this pizza was and over priced!!! the base was so thin i felt like i was eating paper. unfortunately we ordered a seafood pizza because on top of the disappointment it smelt like dehydrated fish. very upset!!

outstanding food, awesome service. just what you need after a day on water. highly recommend it! peter peter pizza is just amazing, snd the meatballs, omg!

popped by here for lunch from a recommendation and it didn’t disappoint. service was friendly and the 3 share plates we ordered were delicious! we ordered the chilli chicken wings, beef ribs and king prawns. the only thing i will fault is the prawns were a little on the expensive side.
definitely worth a visit!

the potato pizza and carbonara were lovely.

the waitress was not. ignored us for 10 minutes as she cleaned tables and when i went to the register to pay she came and furiously tapped at the register for 30 seconds then just walked off without saying a word. very rude.

great local restaurant. the waitress was friendly and attentive. the fish we ordered was no longer available but they substituted it with another and it was fantastic! the tiramisu was a bit of a miss. tasted like a fridge

we arrived at 4.30pm for our dinner booking to an almost empty restaurant.

we were seated at a table, but felt that it wasn't big enough as we intended on ordering several dishes to share. as the restaurant was so quiet, we didn't hesitate to join our table and the one next to ours together (we barely moved the table one meter).

immediately after this, a waitress pranced over, began moving the table back without asking, telling us she was setting up for dinner. naturally, we were puzzled by this comment, as we were just about the only customers in the restraurant. we received a response in a shockingly rude tone- "this is your table (pointing at the original table we were given) it's 4.30 and i'm setting up for dinner". when we indicated that we didn't feel comfortable staying at this restaurant after the service we'd just received, she didn't care. i've never had such a terrible experience at a restaurant.

we went to doc pizza down the road, which was full to the brim with people waiting for tables.

based on other people's reviews, we aren't the only customers who have encountered this waitress at volpi. perhaps it is time this restaurant starts to take their reviews seriously before they are out of business for good.

lit!: the quality of this pasta, pizza and focaccia was perfect. on the pricey side but worth it! we smashed all of it between two.

very rude staff. waited to inquire as to whether they make coffees to get a three word reply and a back turned to me. would never in a million years recommend.

mmmm. disappointing. food was generally bland . walnut salad had too much vinegar and way way too many walnuts . pulled pork was stale. carbonara was horrid .barramundi was ok. had been there before but we won't be back .rating was saved by the pizza . in summary this place is pizza or bust

this restaurant has earned a reputation as being the best pizza which is true given the variety on offer. it has quite a few vegetarian options which was great. the hosting staff was very attentive and accommodating to the celebrating party of 8 women. we all had a lovely time. i would check it out if you like pizza and you can make the call if it is in fact the best pizza in mornington ☺
