the response on instagram from julia madge was passive aggressive and rude when the £100 minimum booking fee was questioned. after saying the bar had been “hung dry” due to lockdown which i’m completely sympathetic to, but how incredibly ignorant to assume that everyone is in a financial situation to pay them £100 for one bottle of vodka. then claiming that that’s a reasonable price insinuating that it’s embarrassing i can’t pay it. booked several places in ashton lane and the west end with the maximum booking fee being £5. being passive aggressive to customers on your social media is uncalled for when they were having a joke with their friend about going to the park and getting steaming anyways instead. everyone has been through it this lockdown, especially financially so it’s a shame julia had to be so rude.

would say this is the youngest place in ashton lane, perfect for students as they do really good £3.50 cocktails sun- thursdayc wud defo recommend their jolly rancher cus they are so fresh

this bar is a lot of fun! very reasonably priced, and bar staff that really know what they're doing. not much if you want to sit inside, but they have a really good beer garden out back, even if the steps up to it are a bit treacherous in heels. busy at night on the weekends but not too bad midweek. always pop in when i'm in ashton lane! kir royales and french martinis are my poison of choice!
