huge place with friendly staff. the menu looked great but i was leery of the entrees based on picture i saw on their website and yelp. (pasta and sauces look unappetizing and of low quality tho its a “scratch” kitchen. thus, we tried two salads which were both overdressed and soggy because of it. then we had the pizza and it was great! not too much sauce, ample meat and cheese and a fabulous crust! if we lived closer it would be a go to for take out pizza.

the place needs more attention to detail...our pepper grinder was empty (they should be checked every few days) and from one view i saw dirty plates waiting to be picked up and from another view there sat a smelly rag and spray bottle on another table. both were there until the end of our visit.

i would call this an independent olive garden type place.

farm to table in a suburb? awesome!. my husband and i frequently drive into minneapolis for fabulous food, but we were so pleased to find vivo right in our back yard! the quality of ingredients and service really shines through, as well as the coziness of the atmosphere. please, if you take nothing else from this review, try the brussels sprouts.

fresh delicious pasta and seafood!. definitely recommend the seafood pasta and calamari starter. the pasta is homemade, the seafood is fresh and expertly cooked, and the sauces are vibrant with fresh herbs. worth the price for sure. then dining room is beautiful and artistic with a side of funky. we will definitely be back!

awesome. i've been there 4 times and have not been disappointed yet. the tuna crisps are amazing, the parm. shrimp as well... tried the rocket salad which was out of my comfort zone but was surprised how much i enjoyed it. the mushroom and rice was great and their brownie sundae for only $4 was soo worth it! love the fresh ingredients, love that the staff is so well informed with all the dishes, and love that its so close to work! after work (happy hour 930-11pm) appetizers/dessert and drinks is a must! i'll be back!

good service, good wine, great heirloom salad, a lot to be desired in the margarita pizza, no tomato slices and barely there mozzarella, good crust though, a lot left to be desired in the pizza.

great food. i've been to vivo three times in the last two weeks. i had the excellent lasagna on my first visit, and while i intended on ordering it the two times i've returned, something different has caught my eye each time. tonight it was tuna crisps, and short rib pasta. all items i've eaten have been great, and at less than $20/entree, a great value. i highly recommend.

eh--- ok... salty. went there for a happy hour yesterday. waitress was fantastic! i ordered the ahi tuna appetizer. it was ok. the crackers overwhelmed the flavor i thought. all i could taste was overcooked cracker really. my sister and her friend ordered the margarita pizza before i got there. they said it was kind of salty but otherwise good. i decided to order to go food to take home and eat with my boyfriend. i ordered the vegetarian lasagna and the chicken and mushroom rissotto. the sauce on the lasagna was super salty. note to chef... cut back a bit on it. wow! the rissotto was good. but not awesome. i will go back one more time to try something else. maybe it was what i ordered. i had a friend say she went there for dinner last week and it was awesome.

incredible food. five of us went to dinner. my mother said the bruschetta was exactly how her mother from italy used to make it. delicious crab cakes with lumps of crab meat. hand made pasta sheets in the lasagne. the sauces were complex and slow cooked for rich flavors. the calamari was some of the best we've ever had. tried something different with the braised short ribs over orrichette pasta in a reduced red wine sauce--phenomenal. the house-made peanut butter gelato is flavored with peanut butter they make from scratch. so excited to have this restaurant in the area.

disappointed. my husband and i were very excited to try out this reopened restaurant. i ordered the brick chicken which the waitress highly recommended. it came with mash potatoes that i felt came from a box and brussel sprouts that were good but cold. the chicken was pretty unremarkable. my husband had the braised short ribs. sad to say but they reminded us of chef boyardee... the pasta was mushy, sauces tasted from a can, and there was hardly any meat. the quality that they rave about when they greet you at your table just isn't there. the prices do not reflect the food that you receive. the setting is very nice and maybe the cost in largely built into the food prices. for what we paid for dinner we felt taken to the cleaners.....
