vina vegan restaurant

absolutely wonderfulservicehere. so friendly and kind. the menu is quite large with a lot of different mock meat options.

i started with the clear vegetable soup which was full of flavour. for the main i had mock beef vermicelli salad. i didn't enjoy this all that much because it was a mix of fresh salad with cooked vegetables when i thought i would be getting a traditional style vietnamese vermicelli salad. the sauce also tasted like a bought pouch one.

other people's dishes did look really tasty so i'm thinking i shouldn't have gone for a salad option.

excellent. we are locals and we go there regularly. although we are not vegans and theservicehere is average (not rude but i believe this is the vietnamese way!) the food is super dooper good and we highly recommend here. you may need to book on weekends.

everything about vina is amazing! some of the best customerserviceand food that is so so delicious. must haves include the wonton soup, not duck rolls, sizzling satay with tofu and the seaweed fried rice!! love it all!

came by two nights ago with two other friends. none of us are usually vegetarian/vegan but we all enjoyed the meal. the imitation duck pancakes were on point, there was crispness, and the flavour tasted like the real deal. the curry samosas were good although quite small. the seaweed fried rice was so fragrant and delicious, and the vietnamese pancake was really yummy. overall, a delicious, filling and pretty cheap meal that did not leave us craving meat. and theservicewas excellent, i think it was the owner who came out and had a chat to us, and he was very friendly, attentive and helpful.

really nice and fresh food. peking not duck roles were great! the samosas are quite smaller than average (very cute none the less) butservicewas quick.
service was friendly and kind, although a bit disjointed at times. the restaurant wasn’t packed and also had outdoor seating, so a good option seeing most places on king street were packed.
will definitely return soon to try some more options!

this is the restaurant i’ve probably been to around 50 times! after their revamp and new menu.. i only want to come back more!! the staff are friendly,serviceis quite and everything is very well priced and portioned! the atmosphere is great and honestly not too crazy.

honestly all the food menu items are amazing (especially the noodle soups and fried rice!!); stir-fries are average for me. my favourites have got to be the curry noodle soup, duck noodle soup, claypot/seaweed/beetroot fried rice.. and counting haha oh and the cocomint crushie is amazing.
everything is really well flavoured and not over flavoured or over oily etc. it’s perfect 👌

just go and try for yourself!! worth the short walk down from golden lotus!! 🤫😁 now they just have to introduce a rewards system for going to their restaurant so many times haha 🤫

we decided to duck into vina, having crossed by this restaurant on our way to lentils multiple times. when we entered, we were one of the first diners. my wife was craving some steamed curry dumplings as the entree, so we ordered that. for the mains dish, i stuck to my tried, tested and favourite vietnamese dish, the vermicelli noodles. my wife ordered a fried rice. additionally, i decided to order a vietnamese lime soda. all dishes were very enjoyable. i must admit i'm not a big fan of the mock meats, however my wife completely loved it. the curry dumplings was also extremely tasty. theservicewas great and i loved the suggestions made by the staff too. all in all, a great place to eat!!!

great food, greatserviceand very reasonable prices. their mock meats taste great (especially the soy nuggets) and the steamed curry buns are delicious. they're very friendly and the orange slices at the end was a very nice touch.

this is my first time here, even though i've walked past it hundreds of times. generous servings, fresh food, tasty and delicious. quick and friendlyserviceand cheap!! will definitely be back here for more!!

interesting menu with mock this and mock that. food was quite varied and any added chilli was quite mild. decor was two star and food was not very tasty but unadulterated and interesting textures. waiters were nice butservicewas slow. banana fritter dessert with soy icecream was very nice.

vina is one of my favorite places in newtown that i feel comfortable bringing both fellow vegetarians and carnivores. my friends and i have never been disappointed. i am not a big fan of mock meats but vina uses them to great effect. i have used some of their ideas in my own cooking! the food is always fresh, and the family feelserviceis always a shelter. highly recommended. make a reservation for a big group, because this quiet little restaurant is getting busier by the week- for good reason!

best asian vegetarian ever!. vina's food is delicate, subtle and loaded with taste. there's loads of originality and not just mock meats! roll you own summer rolls with salad, noodles and mint or try the surprisingly tasty sea-weed soup. the main i chose was an utter hit - 'rice with mushroom and sesame' but the dishes description on the menu doesn't do it justice at all... it is a kind of sticky rice with tiny tofu textures and sea weed - not trying to be fish, just plain delicious!

the coconut desert thingie was also freshly made, and to die for!

100% for originality, great, promptserviceand not at all overpriced!

a sydney highlight - 'wish i could go there every week for life, or it would be great to learn how the chef does it and be able to prepare strictly vegan food quite so delicately - definitely a 'philosophy!

a vegetarian's heaven. an oasis in newtown: quiet, clean, pleasant and the food is delicious. both meet-style-veggie dishes and more vegetarian looking ones.

theserviceis not professional, more like attentive home hospitality. you get a complimentary cup of tea while waiting for a take-away.

hope to see this place take off and become a permanent institution in newtown.
