vietnam sub & grill

the vermicelli bowls aregoodand so are the spring rolls. i do not enjoy the subs though. the meat that they put on the subs is bland and tastes like it’s been heated up in the microwave instead of made fresh to order.

great broth / spring rolls. allgoodpho starts with a great broth and this is asgoodas it gets. friendly staff, very clean with fresh ingredients makes it a winner. wish they were open sundays but family business so understandable, a must try for foodies

impressive. i ordered take out, and got #5 the grilled beef salad rolls and #2 the chicken and spring roll vermicelli. the restaurant itself is very small... i think i saw one table, and then along the window is a counter with stools. the food was hot and ready when i got there - no waiting. the grilled beef salad rolls don't look very appetizing, but they tasted pretty good. the beef was well seasoned, with a kick but i did find it a little tough. there was just beef, noodles and lettuce in the wrap. their peanut sauce had a kick of hot sauce in it, so it was pretty good. the vermicelli was probably the best i've tasted up here in the coventry hills area. i was happy that they used a larger take out container so that when i poured the sauce over the noodles and mixed the veggies in, i had a lot of room to do so and i wasn't spilling over the container. the chicken hadgoodseasoning and the spring rolls were what they should be. overall, i will definitely go back for the vermicelli!

subs are the best in the city but definitely one of the better subs you'll find in this area. the broth here is incredible!! comparable to pho van which is in the same complex. still can't decide which i like better but seriouslygoodpho broth here! my husband and i come here lots! staff are so friendly =)

needs more fillings in the subs.... i had an assorted meat sub and was not impressed with how little veggies and how super thin the meats were in my sub. i was quite disappointed in the quantity - as it was mostly bread i was eating. i remember thegoodold days where the subs were stuffed with meat and veggies. don't think i'll be going back.

best vietnamese food i've had in a long time. i'm a regular customer and this is one of the best places to have authentic vietnamese cuisine. ive had vietnamese food at many many places in calgary and very few compare to this place. cozy interior, high quality ingredients, friendly people, low msg, full of flavour,goodquality portions and fair prices. i have yet to find a place that has asgoodpho and pho broth as this place. its so full of flavour and so rich of quality herbs and spices, not watered down like most places.

finally found a place around country hills. finally found a place by my house that doesn't have gross vietnamese food. this place is pretty solid. i'm not going to say it is amazing or anything but ordered takeout and the food was prettygoodand i enjoyed my meal. staff was pretty friendly too which is a bonus. got a sate beef vermicelli bowl with spring rolls and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. compared to other places around this area this place is by far the best. i will defiantly be going back here when i need my vietnamese fix.

great take out...... it's awesome that we've found this little take out place while in line waiting to get our truck washed. we've ordered the deluxe vermicelli & got the sate beef subs & mango bubble tea for our sons. they didn't have a lot of parking space so we were glad that our food was ready by the time our truck was done. their food was tasty and fresh and everything was still nice and warm by the time we got home. their mango bubble tea was very refreshing as well. overall, it's a great little take out place with friendly staffs that's close to home. we will definitely return but will phone in ahead to order so our food will be ready for pick up just incase of parking issues. we've tried various vietnamese restaurants around the northwest but nothing really stands out until we found this place. nothing better than having somegoodfood after a long day at work and not up for cooking dinner :)

mmmmmmm..love it!!. i have eaten here almost every week since they opened. my wife and i love the staff mixed with great food at agoodprice, its unbeatable!! i definitely reccomend trying them. my personal favorite is the loaded vermicelli bowl of course with a mango bubble tea, but you really can not go wrong with anything!!

good place for a quick hot meal, price is very reasonable, food tastes prettygood(not mind blasting), service is just on par with any viet place but overall a well run joint. i recommend the bun (vermicell bowls), refreshing on a hot day.

not good..... we went there for two subs and a bubble tea -- the subs were notgoodbut i am a fan of thi-thi in east downtown so this just does not measure up and the bubble tea was powder with a little real fruit in it. i figured it was an attempt to save money on the fresh fruit part. overall, very disappointing.

delicious subs at great value! already a repeat customer since their sub specials include a piping hot spring roll with pop/water for under 7 bucks. the bread is light and crusty on the outside while the inside is soft and airy. they don't skimp on the fillings, so i tend to make one sub into two small meals. their service is also both fast and friendly. finally, agoodbang-for-the-buck banh mi in the north west.
