new favorite restaurant!. we drive by thisrestaurantevery afternoon on the way home from work and the parking lot is always crowded. we finally stopped and it was the best choice we had made in months. great food, great service and the prices are very good for this area as well. you have to try the "fried ravioli" if they have not run out on the day you are there - it is absolutely a great appetizer. it is so nice to have a really qualityrestaurantin our local area. do not hesitate - try this place and you will not be sorry!

clean, nicerestaurantwith a courteous staff. we had the veggie pizza and were disappointed. the sauce was tasteless. the crust wasn't anything to brag about. cheese and toppings average. took lots of parm, garlic powder, red pepper and salt to give it flavor. the dishes others were eating looked much better. pizzas just not their thing.

worried,. we have a group of friends (10 to 14), not food critics, that visit a differentrestauranteach friday night, just a social thing, we have been going to vespucci's about once every 5th. or 6th. week.
over this time we have complemented the service, atmosphere, quality of the food and price.
until now.
a bad, for the customer, business practice is to open a newrestaurantwith reasonable to large servings then, as time passes, reduce the servings. the customer knows! i think it is called bait and switch.
the last couple of visits the quality of the food has gone down hill. the meat lovers pizza leaves you wondering what you ordered. the calzone left a lot to be desired as i think the chief forgot to stuff the 1/2 lb. of crust.
out of the group of (12) there were 6 complaints, that i'm aware of.
since we started going, we have asked for garlic bread and butter. we know they don't have any but we ask anyway to hopefully get the message to the manager/owner. not as of yet?
i mean, it is the first impression of the meal. and it sells drinks. no profit inrestaurantbeverages, is there?
but we will give them another chance as no place is always perfect. but 3 strikes will put them on the bench.

the best italian. we have lived in chicago and new england (rhode island). we have had the best of the best in italian food. we moved to marietta, ga in 2012 and we have finally found an italianrestaurantthat we love. the first that tastes authentic. our waiter was the best, and we watched other wait staff and they appeared to be the same. the food was priced accordingly for the fresh ingredients used and appropriate for a big city dinner.

but, the most extraordinary was the act of the owner. there was a situation with a 'person of the street' that came up to the front out side his restaurant. he went out and spoke with them and was very respectful. he had them 'move on', but went out and took them some food as well. never have i seen that kind of humanity in arestaurantowner - right in front of his establishment. we respect him all the more! we will definitely be back and recommend to everyone! thank you for such an enjoyable evening!

give me more than run-of-the-mill. if arestaurantis going to serve bread, it should be an exceptional bread. vespucci's bread is not exceptional, in fact, we refused to eat it. not only was it not good, it wasn't even garlic bread!! good grief. good bread and italian food go hand-in-hand, but somehow, the owner, or the chef, or both, don't agree.
there is no way thisrestaurantserves award-deserving pizza. there was nothing... nothing special about it. you can get some great artisan pizzas around town, vespucci's does not serve anything close.
my wife had the lasagna, it arrived soupy and "wet". yawn. my daughter's calzone was good, but hardly a challenge to make. my pizza was... we covered that.
the area is starving for great, family-owned restaurants. marietta is smothered in franchise food, and we have grown tired of it.

how to improve: make a great warm bread, soft, with chunks of garlic and butter dripping off it. make appetizers no one else makes. (i did try the fried green beans and they were excellent.) but more please. bacon-wrapped dates, fried ravioli barbajuan, or brushetta like no-one elses. c'mon guys. don't just serve the same frozen appetizers some national food service sells to all the restaurants.

we had great service, a very nice ambience, very centrally located. this place should be hurting to keep parking spaces available with lines out the door, but instead, they have a run-of-the-mill thread running through everything and i wish they would cut the thread.

hooray for vespucci's. boy, oh boy...i can see how thisrestaurantwon best pizza in atlanta! it's pizza, only so much better! i've had 3 varieties so far and each was superb, though i remain faithful to the old pepperoni, mushroom, black olive. luckily my hubby and son branch out and i can try vespucci's chicken too. i've chosen to spend my new year's eve with these fine folks. everyone there was soooo nice and professional. i'm so glad they moved to my area.

happy omnivore ! ! !. okay ! in reviewing ray's donuts (in the same building) i came across these good reviews for the italianrestaurantin the same building. so when we were struggling where to go we said "oh heck, let's try it ".

this is a wonderful italian place to have nearby. i ordered the chicken milano which was wonderful and the ceasar salad was fabulous. the alfredo sauce was so smooth and rich that i could not eat it all and had the pleasure of savoring it again the next day for lunch. loads of chicken and fresh basil.....wonderful !

i then came back the next night because i had to try the pizza. the pie was delicious also, not greasy but fresh tasting.....

this is my new fave and i will be back again and again...

they also had a live jazz saxophonist .....great service , great atmosphere.....just "great"

love this place!. this is now my favorite restaurant. because i am italian, i rarely like italianrestaurantfood. vespucci's is fantastic. i have never had pizza as good as this place makes it. you have to try the roasted garlic, tomato and basil pizza! the wait staff is wonderful and friendly and the owners make you feel like you are being greeted into their home. i also agree with the comment below regarding their tiramisu. i never order it in arestaurantbecause it is always disappointing. a friend ordered it and i tried it. vespucci's is fabulous.

no service - at all.. stopped in last night for dinner with my hubby and daughter around 5 pm. the hostess told us they have a special menu for valentines day in which reservations were required and that they could not accommodate us without reservations. another woman came to the hostess desk and told us the same thing. on the face, that's acceptable, but since it was early and the entirerestaurantwas empty, other than one table, it did not make sense for them not to serve us. we would have been out of there before their rush set in. being that this is a relatively newrestaurantin our area and the first time we have been there, it wasn't a good first impression. we took our money elsewhere since they didn't want it.

great food, service, location!!!. ok so i took my girlfriends there tuesday night and let me tell you... we came in around 8 o'clock and there was no hostess but a server, i think his name was david, very handsome i must add (who ended up waiting on us) greeted us and showed us to a table. there were two parties going on at the time, which our server was waiting on. however we would have never known that he was waiting on 30 or more people. after he sat us down he gave us time to look at the menu then came back a few minutes later and introduced himself and told us a little bit about therestaurantand the menu. we obviously had questions about the menu and what type of ingredients were used which he was very knowledgeable about. he took his time to cater to each of our requests and suggested appetizers and helped us decide on our entrees. the breadsticks he brought out tasted like they were fresh from the oven, the mushroom soup was incredible and our salads tasted as if all the ingredients were freshly picked. i think i remember our server saying that the dressings were all made at the restaurant. i ordered the chicken milano with sweet peppers (server's suggestion) and it was delicious! my sweet tea never got to less than half full and we never felt "harassed" by our server. we didn't end up getting dessert only because we were so full from all the food! i highly recommend this place and i will be back for sure!!!
