new favorite restaurant!. we drive by this restaurant every afternoon on the way home from work and the parking lot is always crowded. we finally stopped and it was the best choice we had made in months. great food, great service and the prices are very good for this area as well. you have to try the "fried ravioli" if they have not run out on the day you are there - it is absolutely a great appetizer. it is so nice to have a really quality restaurant in our local area. do not hesitate - try this place and you will not be sorry!

clean, nice restaurant with a courteous staff. we had the veggie pizza and were disappointed. the sauce was tasteless. the crust wasn't anything to brag about. cheese and toppings average. took lots of parm, garlic powder, red pepper and salt to give it flavor. the dishes others were eating looked much better. pizzas just not their thing.

i enjoy veal, which i had last night, it was delicious the breadsticks warm, salad worked, yet the jar sauce blue cheese was just ok. overall the meal was delicious.
what distracted from the meal, was the bartender, i guess if you want good service don't eat at the bar, the bartender fumbled behind the bar all evening.his service was simple, you had asked for everything, and i really don't think he had a clue how to be a server.

worried,. we have a group of friends (10 to 14), not food critics, that visit a different restaurant each friday night, just a social thing, we have been going to vespucci's about once every 5th. or 6th. week.
over this time we have complemented the service, atmosphere, quality of the food and price.
until now.
a bad, for the customer, business practice is to open a new restaurant with reasonable to large servings then, as time passes, reduce the servings. the customer knows! i think it is called bait and switch.
the last couple of visits the quality of the food has gone down hill. the meat lovers pizza leaves you wondering what you ordered. the calzone left a lot to be desired as i think the chief forgot to stuff the 1/2 lb. of crust.
out of the group of (12) there were 6 complaints, that i'm aware of.
since we started going, we have asked for garlic bread and butter. we know they don't have any but we ask anyway to hopefully get the message to the manager/owner. not as of yet?
i mean, it is the first impression of the meal. and it sells drinks. no profit in restaurant beverages, is there?
but we will give them another chance as no place is always perfect. but 3 strikes will put them on the bench.

the best italian. we have lived in chicago and new england (rhode island). we have had the best of the best in italian food. we moved to marietta, ga in 2012 and we have finally found an italian restaurant that we love. the first that tastes authentic. our waiter was the best, and we watched other wait staff and they appeared to be the same. the food was priced accordingly for the fresh ingredients used and appropriate for a big city dinner.

but, the most extraordinary was the act of the owner. there was a situation with a 'person of the street' that came up to the front out side his restaurant. he went out and spoke with them and was very respectful. he had them 'move on', but went out and took them some food as well. never have i seen that kind of humanity in a restaurant owner - right in front of his establishment. we respect him all the more! we will definitely be back and recommend to everyone! thank you for such an enjoyable evening!

unexpected treasure. vespucci's is quaint and cozy and most important has excellent food, wine and occasional entertainment. the manager and staff make you feel at home. all of this in a totally unexpected location in marietta. a must try!

very fine!. we were so glad that we read the article in cobb life months ago. since our first trial run, we have been back any number of times and were never disappointed in the food or service. our last server (4/6/13) was lindy. two thumbs up for her. i would suggest turning down the lights after 7:30 and playing some soft dinner music.

the location i am referring to is in woodstock.

give me more than run-of-the-mill. if a restaurant is going to serve bread, it should be an exceptional bread. vespucci's bread is not exceptional, in fact, we refused to eat it. not only was it not good, it wasn't even garlic bread!! good grief. good bread and italian food go hand-in-hand, but somehow, the owner, or the chef, or both, don't agree.
there is no way this restaurant serves award-deserving pizza. there was nothing... nothing special about it. you can get some great artisan pizzas around town, vespucci's does not serve anything close.
my wife had the lasagna, it arrived soupy and "wet". yawn. my daughter's calzone was good, but hardly a challenge to make. my pizza was... we covered that.
the area is starving for great, family-owned restaurants. marietta is smothered in franchise food, and we have grown tired of it.

how to improve: make a great warm bread, soft, with chunks of garlic and butter dripping off it. make appetizers no one else makes. (i did try the fried green beans and they were excellent.) but more please. bacon-wrapped dates, fried ravioli barbajuan, or brushetta like no-one elses. c'mon guys. don't just serve the same frozen appetizers some national food service sells to all the restaurants.

we had great service, a very nice ambience, very centrally located. this place should be hurting to keep parking spaces available with lines out the door, but instead, they have a run-of-the-mill thread running through everything and i wish they would cut the thread.

hooray for vespucci's. boy, oh boy...i can see how this restaurant won best pizza in atlanta! it's pizza, only so much better! i've had 3 varieties so far and each was superb, though i remain faithful to the old pepperoni, mushroom, black olive. luckily my hubby and son branch out and i can try vespucci's chicken too. i've chosen to spend my new year's eve with these fine folks. everyone there was soooo nice and professional. i'm so glad they moved to my area.

entrees were excellent! eggplant parm was fresh and crisp, even after being covered in sauce and cheese. my husband had the chicken milano and loved it. the salad plates could have been a little colder and the breadsticks a little fresher, but beyond that we were very pleased and will be back. the service was exceptional from the moment we walked in, up until we walked out the door. everyone from the hostess to the manager greeted us and made us feel welcomed.
